I have an old style Honeywell "warm morning" propane space heater, model V-50, and the temperature control does not work. Any suggestions?

I know the temperature control is broken. Can you specify the part I should buy?

I said the tenperature control was broken and Heatman told me the temperature control probably needed to be replaced. I kinda knew that already.

Hi,

The temperature control probably is bad and will need to be replaced...the gas valve may also have to be replaced along with that....

Here is some information that should help you find the parts that you need to fix that...

Warm Morning, a brand of gas heaters made by Locke Stove, was later manufactured by Martin Industries, fireplace and heater division. However, Martin Industries filed bankruptcy and went out of business in 2002. According to its Web site, Martin Hearth & Heating no longer has parts for products manufactured by Martin Industries, but it supplies contacts for specific products.
For Warm Morning gas products, contact A&B Sales at 800/798-8235. For Warm Morning wood products, contact Stove Parts Unlimited at 800/874-0791, www.stovepartsunlimited.com.

Abingdon Gas and Appliance has a good Warm Morning parts selection and is very helpful. www.abingdongas.com 276-628-7262.

It is hard to tell which part you have exactly...as I have seen a couple of different ones on those heaters...

I was hoping that you could matchup what yours looks like with one of these here..

You posted under water heater.
Open following link for adjusting water heater temperature on typical gas and electric water heaters:
State electric has ABC
White Rodgers gas thermostat has ABC
Honeywell gas valve has ABC
Each is shown on following link:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-adjust-temperature-on-water-heater.html

60 degrees C is 140 degrees F.
You can get burned pretty quick at 140 F.
I suggest 125-130 F and see if that works
First aid for burns is to apply cool water immediately.

Burner on Charmglow patio heater will not stay on.

believe it or not, the propane tank may be too full. The vapor space is taken up and you have very little vapor. Run some warm water over the tank. The garden hose may be enough but if you get no frost line the water will need to be warmer. The warm water causes the liquid fuel to turn into vapor. Do not use boiling hot water. Another thing is oening the valve. Most propane tanks have safety valves. If the gas escapes faster than a normal rate, the valve closes. Open the valve slowlyand lt it burn for about 10 minutes before opening the valve further. It will get better as the fuel is used up and the vapor space in the tank increases. In real cold climates a heater blanket, sleeve is used tho keep the bottle warm. The vapor also creates the the needed pressure to move the gas through the system to the burners. Good Luck-Ned_
