Try reinstalling the newest drivers with the process below. If it still does not work contact me and I will help you for free. Does that model have a built in microphone? If not you will have to buy a cheap mic. You can get them on the net for under 5 bucks.
http://www.a4tech.com/ennew/download%20driver.asp Go to this site and enter your make and model number, on
the next page that comes up click the pc driver button. Once it pops up the download window save it to your desktop
so you have it for future use. Move it to somewhere you will be able to find it if you need it again so you do not have
to download it again! Unzip the file with winzip and run the install program and you will be up and running. If you need
more help feel free to contact me geokohler@gmail.com I will help you for free,I do this for a hobby. Send me your
number and I will walk you through the whole process. Hope this gets you going, If not get in touch and I will help you
until we get it working. Thanks,
George

Green led on , but no sound when speaking through microphone

Sounds like an attempted amp/PA mixer repair to me. Plug a guitar or music source into one of the inputs and see if you hear anything. Honestly, the protection relay circuits rarely go bad but instead are reacting to problems elsewhere in the circuitry. Good luck.

Hi i have an a4tech pk-336e but i cant get the microphone working., or does it have a microphone?

Hi there!

This web cam comes with a built in microphone.

You can check the wire connection and see if there is any problem. If it is OK, then try re-installing the software both for the webcam and microphone.

Microphone

Not all webcams have a built in mic, but if yours has one set it as default
TEST SPEAKERS
Right click on speaker icon in System Tray or from Control Panel
Select "Playback Devices"
The speaker icon ( checked as working) and volume level graph should be visible
Right click on the volume graph and click "Test"
Left hand speakers followed by right hand should be heard

SET DEFAULT & TEST MIC
Click "Recording" tab.
To set required (webcam) mic as default - click on mic font to highlight and click "Properties"
In lower dropbox display "Use this device enable" click 'OK'
Click "Levels" tab and ramp up sliders ( adjust to suit later)
Return to "Recording". Test mic by speaking and make sure volume graph displays

Restart computer

If you are having troubles to hear her responses, tell her to volume up her sound input (in this case, microphone) and you volume out your sound output (this case, your speakers) , that would be it!

The person I am speaking with does not hear me (He is deaf).
The microphone function does not appear to be working. I have adjusted the volume and that's not the problem (You must speak as well).
I have plugged both jacks (microphone and speaker) into my PC hard drive and am using my PC to talk on Skype (You cant plug even a single jack in the hard drive).
Problem solved!

Microphone problems

Go to your control panel in windows, you can get there from the start menu no matter what version you are on.

In the control panel, double click on Sound. In the new window, click on file and settings... or advanced I cant remember exactly which as I am using vista. There you should be able to select "Recording". Click ok.

Now you should be able to see where it says microphone, with a volume bar and so on. Put a check in the "Mute" box. This will not completely mute the microphone, it should only make it to where you will no longer hear it on your speakers.

Try talking to your friends now... It should work! I hope this helped to fix your problem, if not, let me know and we can try something else.

How to hear my voice through my usb microphone?

by default the playback of your voice is muted. next to your clock theres the sound speaker icon click on it, you should see microphone somewhere there, if you dont press settings from the toolbar and then properties

then on the playback make sure there is a X on microphone.

then click ok, now check is the microphone muted? unmute it and speak to the microphone you should hear your own voice played back instantly from the speakers.
