I don't know why she quite talking out the direction, like turn right, turn left etc. This is a $900 plus unit and I need help.

If you have a Garmin Nuvi go to Tools.... Settings.... Language....under Voice tab chose one that has an ending with ( TTS ) text to speech

    Thank you for your response but I have a 478 Garmin and I have tried everything. She was working on our way out to Michigan then just stopped speaking for no reason.

    aah ok sorry... do you get sound from headphone?

    the only other thing I found was if you were walking and didnt hear anything... i will post that but i would give Garmin a call, they have an awesome tech team there i get good results from...

    Why Are There No Routing Directions Through My Headphones When I Am Walking?

    Answer:
    The reason that voice prompts are not being sent through the headphones is because the unit is not moving fast enough. The unit has to “map match.” This means the unit has to be moving at a speed that reasonably resembles the speed a car would be traveling on the streets while navigating a route. When walking around with headphones plugged into the unit, the voice prompts will not appear. If the same unit, with the same headphones, is used in an automobile while driving the route, the voice prompts will be sent through the headphones.

For the 720ef , this is what you need to do. Hopefully this will translate to your 900.
There are five buttons on the clock panel and from left to right they are:- Minute Minder, Cook time, Ready Time, Plus and Minus.
TO SET THE TIME OF DAY
Press the Cook Time button and the Ready Time button simultaneously. Use the Plus and Minus buttons to set the time.(24hr clock).
TO SELECT AN ALARM TONE.
Press the Minus button to listen to the first tone. Release it and press it again to listen to the second tone etc (3 tones)
Releasing the button after the tone has sounded will automatically set that tone.
SETTING THE MINUTE MINDER.
Press the Minuter Minder button and either the Plus or Minus buttons simultaneously to set the time.
You can cancel the timer at any time by setting it back to 00.00 by using the Minus button.
After setting, the display will revert to the time of day, but by pressing the Minute Minder button again, the display will show the remaining time.
To reset the cook time, use the plus and minus buttons to set it to zero.
To cancel the automatic setting and return the oven to manual operation, press the COOK TIME and READY TIME buttons simultaneously.

I just picked up a 99 china cobra ltd st. Tx works on all channels, but no Rx on channels 1-19. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
somebody tampered with internal adjustors seems to me. you can take a screw driver and turn off receive for so many channels but crank it for higher band. It was probably locked on a upper channel for a Friendly chat station say Channel #28. Where they stayed and talked on 1 channel all time. Could be that. Maybe its got broke wires or board on that other set of channels or parts fried, chip bad etc. Get it checked out at CB shop. if you have any knowledge, turn IF to receive and crank up receive inside radio. If don't know anything take to shop..sounds like simple fix to me.

Hoover F7458-900 SteamVac The brushes quit
My Hoover F7458-900 was doing the same thing, brushes not turning and since it is about 7 years old and out of warrenty I decided I had nothing to lose so I took it apart after reading all the other posts on this problem. The brushes are actually turned by a turbine motor (no belts involved) that runs off air produced by the vaccum motor of the unit. The air turns a metal spindle that then turns several nylon gears in the turbin the last of which turns the brushes. The nylon gear that engages with the metal spindle was worn down to the point that it was no longer engaging with it and thus not turning.
The only fix for this problem is to buy a new turbin motor which is not that expensive about $34 plus shipping since they don't sell just the nylon gear. Hope this helps

1989 Saab 900 low level fuel light
You don;t say whether the fuel gauge is reading accurately, or whether it's always on empty. If the gauge is always showing empty, it's most likely a problem with the sending unit in the fuel tank. Check the resistance across the two terminals of the sending unit.

On a C900, the fuel sender level unit is separate from the fuel pump and located on the right side top of the tank, accessible by removing the trunk floor lift up panel (the pump is located on the left side top of the tank.
Possible problems are: electrical line off or broken, float not working (it's fairly delicate); or gauge not working.

Test the resistance of the sending unit with the lines disconnected, the resistance should be 2.6 to 3.8 ohms full tank, 63.3 to 67.5 ohms empty tank; and test for voltage across the top of the sender unit, if no voltage, that's likely the problem!

If the gauge is otherwise reading accurately (showing 'full' for a full tank, etc) then the problem is likely a gauge malfunction and can be simply replaced.
