the printed page comes out cockeyed. The epson at our church does the same thing. Mine is brand new, only printed 5 times. The one at the church is a normal printer and mine is a all in one.

I would recommend a good cleaning of the rollers with a damp rag (old t-shirts are great for this). Some canned air to blow out the insides always seems to improve operation.
If this is helpful to you, would you please rate this solution? Thanks!

My paper feeding is crooked

check the paper tray, make sure the paper guides are snug up to the edges of the paper. Even a small gap will cause miss alignment of the printing.

Important!: How To Load Paper In Paper Tray Properly

In the printing process, paper jam more frequently occurs on bad paper handling rather than mechanical failure of the printer. So,to ensure that printing process runs smoothly please pay good attention to the following tips before loading the paper in paper tray of your printer.

My HP Laserjet 4L has started jamming paper when I try to print more than one page.

Here is some tips to avoid paper jam..

  • If your printer has a paper tray do not fill the tray to capacity. If you're encountering frequent paper jams, reduce the amount of paper you place in the tray each time it is filled.
  • Make sure you or the tray feeding the paper into the printer is aligned properly and the slider used to hold the paper in place in the tray is snug with the paper. Many printers have sliders that allow different types and sizes of paper to be fed into the printer. If the slider is not properly positioned it can cause paper jams.
  • Use standard office paper; folded paper, paper with labels, and specialty paper such as hard bound paper can often cause paper jams. If you're uncertain with what paper you should use with your printer your printer documentation will list the paper compatible with your printer.
  • Do not mix the paper you're feeding into the printer at one time. If you need to change the paper or size of paper being used removed any other paper currently in the printer before inserting the new paper.
  • If your printer uses a slot or tray for the paper make sure to not push the paper too far into the slot or tray.
  • Examine the printer for any previous stuck paper in the printer. Previous paper jams, torn paper, printing labels or other foreign objects in the printer can cause reoccurring printer jams.

MY XEROX PHASER 6360 IS PRINTING CROOKED

Most of the time this happens because the paper is not aligned properly in the tray. Make sure the paper is fit very snug next to the paper guides.

Brother mfc-6490 printing crooked.. any ideas?

Could be paper feed rollers.

But first make sure the back cover is properly closed, and that the paper tray guides (width and length) are properly placed on tray for the paper to be snug.

How do I realign my hp photosmart c4480 printer?

To align the print cartridges from the HP Photosmart Software
1. Load letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the input tray.
NOTE: If you have colored paper loaded in the input tray when you align the print
cartridges, the alignment will fail. Load unused plain white paper into the input
tray, and then try the alignment again.
2. In the HP Solution Center, click Settings.
3. In the Print Settings area, click Printer Toolbox.
NOTE: You can also open the Printer Toolbox from the Print Properties dialog
box. In the Print Properties dialog box, click the Features tab, and then click
Printer Services.
NOTE: You can also open the Printer Toolbox from the Print Properties dialog
box. In the Print Properties dialog box, click the Features tab, and then click the
Printer Services button.
The Printer Toolbox appears.
4. Click the Device Services tab.
5. Click Align the Print Cartridges.
When prompted, ensure plain white letter or A4 paper is loaded in the input tray, then
press the button next to OK.
NOTE: If you have colored paper loaded in the input tray when you align the print
cartridges, the alignment will fail. Load unused plain white paper into the input
tray, and then try the alignment again.
The product prints a print cartridge alignment sheet.
7. Load the page print side down on the right front corner of the glass, and then press
the button next to OK to scan the page.
When the On button stops flashing, the alignment is complete and the page can be
removed. Recycle or discard the page.

Paper tray won't feed paper & I get a false paper Jam code

This might work for you - it worked for me. HP paper was feeding crooked. Checked the "Paper Type/Quality" in the printing options window - mine was set to Photo Paper. When I changed it to Plain Paper, the paper fed evenly. Hope this works for you.

Printer Printing Crooked!

try printing from the multi purpose tray...do you get the same problem...if not you can narrow the problem down to the paper tray area...try changing main pickup roller and separation pad. If problem is present printing from either tray then the next place I would go is to the registration assembly (flapped unit that resides under the toner cartridge). The job of the part is to line the paper up before it feeds further in to the printing process. You could also do whats called a 1/2 test...put paper in the mp tray, do a print and when there is only about 2-3 inches of the paper sticking out the mp tray open the toner lid...lift out the toner cartridge and see if paper is skewed before entering the fuser. It really does sound like the registration assembly.

Make sure the paper aligning slides are tight to the sides of the paper. In the case that they are spring loaded make sure there is not something preventing them from holding the paper properly aligned.
The print head could be 'off-track'...
If the text is properly aligned on the edge of the page, but appears crooked it is related to the print head assembly. If the text is not aligning to the edge of the page then the paper is not feeding straight and the paper aligning slides are at fault.
It is also possible that one of the paper feed rollers are not grasping the paper and it is forcing it to one side as it pulls it in.
