The replacement bulb for this microwave is generic part number 8183592 and sells for $14 to $35 depending on the vendor. Bulb replacement requires removal of the outer cover of the microwave which is held in place by metal screws at the rear of the unit.

The whole metal cover should be removed, 2 special tamper proof screws are at the bottom back end use a small screw driver to pry or break the center post and then use torx screw driver to take it out, the bulb is a specialty bulb available in partselect.com for almost 30 bucks. good luck!

Look in the cavity n the right side. There may be a removable lamp cover there, but I doubt it.

I suspect you'll have to remove the outer cover of the microwave.

The screws you need to remove should be pretty obvious, and a special driver (such as a T20H Torx type or GTXH20-100) may be needed.

The bulb is located in the top side of a duct on the right side of the interior of the microwave.

Be sure to put all the screws back in the right holes, since some may be special grounding screws.

Bulbs can be had in most grocery stores, hardware stores, home improvement centers, and big box or department stores.

Was working then made a raspi noise now nothing works

Sounds like you might have a problem with metal in the oven. Look inside the oven including the "ceiling" and see if the finish has worn off, leaving bare metal. If so, wash that area thoroughly, dry, sand lightly. Then apply some appliance paint that comes in tiny bottles and costs about $4.

The microwave will run but not heat the food, then it smelled like burning wires.

From your description the magnetron has stopped working and the strong odor is a further indication that this is the problem.

I have an amana convection/microwave model acm1580as that needs a lamp replaces. I bought replacement lamp and after practically tearing appliance apart I located burnt out lamp. Now I don,t know how to...

Hi, since you have located the burnt lamp, all you need to do is to unscrew the burnt lamp and replace the new one by screwing it in.....
You only need to unscrew to remove the lamp and if you cannot remove by unscrewing because it is stuck in, then you need the assistance of an electrical tech to help remove with his pliers....

Over range lights not working

We see (and repair) this a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week or so.

At our Web site, you can get details of our service, plus we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

The lights can can be inoperable or stuck on or stuck in "night light" mode. Sometimes this will similarly affect the fan operation or inside light, too.

Trying to replace a light bulb on an amana microwave

The lamp on this model is an assembly - bulb and socket mated together.

It is mounted in an air duct on the right side of the oven near the magnetron.

You'll have to remove the outer cover to get to it.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order the bulb by entering your full model number here.

UHDC511 repair

Your owner's manual (see link below) suggests unplugging it for a few minutes then trying again. F6 is usually a problem in the controller / circuit board. If it still has the error message, it needs to be serviced. To find the Amana authorized servicer in your area, contact your local distributor or contact the Amana ComServ Support Center at 866-426-2621 or commercialservice@amana.com.
