Hi there-we tried hooking up a Gamecube system to ours and got the sound to work, but no video signal - the video is output only I think because we have been able to connect the DVD player to the TV and play DVDs and see them on our tv - hope the info is helpful.

Vizio vbr210 error 11000404 How do I update firmware to watch newer blu ray movies?

I had the same problem -- we even returned the disc and got a new one. Go to the Vizio site and download the firmware for your player. Put it on a USB stick and plug it into the player. Follow the onscreen instructions (basically just press OK). The entire process takes less than 5 minutes from download to finish.

The Hunger Games works perfectly now.

Insignia p1020 plays for approx 1/2 hour when plugged into car adapter then shuts down. After restart, plays for about 15 min then shuts down,

There are a couple of possibilities: the battery is failing or your car adapter isn't working properly forcing the unit to play from the battery. First, try removing the battery and playing from the adapter. Also, try using the player from battery alone to verify that you're getting the expected battery life. If it turns out you need to replace one or both parts, you can purchase them here. I hope this helps.

Volume is not working

get a splitter that allows you to plug 2 sets of headphones in the portable dvd player.

The sound is the only place were this machine falls short. The sound is okay at best with the built in speakers, but any background noise makes it nearly impossible to hear anything from them even with the volume all the way up. Not surprising since due to the size of the player the speakers are only a little bigger then headphone speakers, but with headphones or portable plug-in speakers the sound is superb. Besides the sound the only 2 complaints are that you can not control the volume with the remote and that the power switch is too easily turned on by accident (do not travel with the battery attached or you will find you have no charge when it comes time to watch a movie). The battery lasts 3.5 to 4 hours, long enough for 2 short movies or 1 long one.

also checkout The volume button is on the right side of the uint.

, headphones are a must, or get a device to play the audio through your car stereo ($15-$25). The player has the option to either input or output the A/V so you could play video games on the run or you could hook up a VCR and watch VHS...be creative

No Sound when playing a video game on Coby Pertable DVD player

Do you have the audio plugs in the proper spot? The red & white audio plugs from the PS 2 need to be plugged into the audio in jacks on the portable dvd player in order to get sound. Should match up red to red; white to white for sound, yellow to yellow for video. Hope this helps.

DVD recorded discs (from VHS) do not play on other dvd players

I called the manufacturer. They admitted to improper instructions. They provided me a fix to their copying protocol and it worked. Also, they game me instructions on how to fix already copied tapes. It works well and I would have to say I was impressed with their customer/technical service.

Yes you can use the wireless headsets (you might need a cheap adapter from radio shack) and it can play only one dvd at a time but most models let you plug a video game into the screens so one kid can watch the movie and the other can play thier game
