Does your camcorder has USB connector? If it doesn't, you can't transfer files to PC because it is analog camcorder.
Digital camcorder has USB connector for PC and new models have DV connectors as well.

Model dc164. How do I view photos without memory card?

That model uses a DVDR/RW type discs plus a memory card (SD, MMC or Sony Memory Sticks). To view photos from the disc simply go into view mode and use the joystick to move to the image you want to view. If you want to transfer images you need the USB cable that came with it and the original software to transfer images from the disc. While capturing video you can snap images but only to a memory card/stick. No card/stick while shooting video, then nothing was captured and the only way you can get any images is transferring a frame(s) from the video using the USB cable and their included software.

Here are links to the manufacturer website where you can still download the software that came with that model and a second link to view/save the manual in PDF format. Information to read in the manual are on pages 95 & 108.

Transfer/Convert Sony HDR-CX150 AVCHD MTS Movie to Apple ProRes for Final Cut Pro on Mac

Sony Handycam HDR-CX150 is listed as one of the best home movie camcorders by Lori Grunin, senior editor from CNET.com. However, people are not giving a high credit for this camcorder. Just like Lori puts it in her review for Sony CX150: "Its small size and attractive price might draw you to the Sony Handycam HDR-CX150, but this bare-bones camcorder just barely delivers on the promise of HD quality."

For many Mac users, editing AVCHD footage on Final Cut Pro is not very pleasant with many problems & frustration, though Final Cut Pro 6.0.1 claims to give native AVCHD support. HI
This looks like the door is jammed. Try to yank it out after pressing the eject button. Try this a few times and if the mechanism is not damaged should set it right. DONT USE TOO MUCH OF FORCE CAUSE THERE IS A RISK OF DAMAGE.

I want to load video from my canon MV850i. The video is on a casette at the camera. Nothing works. What drivers to I need to solve this. I am trying to use typical usb cable.

Hi, For transferring video from a cassette camcorder I recommend getting something like the Pinnacle Dazzle, http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/Dazzle/Dazzle+Video+Archiving/Dazzle+Video+Creator+Plus+HD.htm you connect your camcorder to it with the cables you use to connect it to a TV and it then connects via USB it also comes with easy to use software for transferring the video as well as editing it. If you need anymore help let me know =)

Hi, I have Sony TRV238E HI8 Camera recorder. When I in play/edit mode, only have blue screen on the LCD with counter to and other parameters . In this mode if I move the tape Rew. or FF I have regular...

Hi,

Based on the information you've provided, it seems that the issue is with the dirt in the Video Head of the Camcorder. You can try using new Hi8 tapes for recording the videos to check if they are playing back normally. If the audio is working normally in the Camcorder, then the issue is with the dirt on the video head. If the issue persists with all the tapes, then the video head can be cleaned using a dry Video Head Cleaner Cassette. You can purchase the cassette from the Sony Authorized dealers or from the local electronics store. Please make sure that the cleaning cassette is compatible with the Camcorder.
This should resolve the issue.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I have a jvc model number GR-D770U AND IM TRYING TO TRANSFER what is on the cassette to my computer with the usb cable how do i do it.

Your camcorder is only able to transfer still pictures with usb,if you would like to transfer a video you must use a DV input on a computer. If you would like instructions on how to transfer still pictures using the usb.Install software that was included with camcorder then make sure your using the adapter instead of battery otherwise you may run out of power, then make sure your unit is turn off then plug in usb cable to computer. After plug unit in turn on camcorder and use software provided to transfer pictures.Never pull out memory card when plug in to computer and make sure you do not unplug cable while arrow signs pointing right and left on view screen.I hope this helps you out happy picture taken.
