There should be a tiny 1/4 inch square SD card inside the phone, usually inside or under the battery compartment.
Just transfer this card to the new phone.
This only works if you have put the contact list phone numbers ON the SD card and NOT on the phone memory.

You phone in question needs replacement as there is a clear malfunction. You can call your provider or go to the phone store. You shouldn't have any problem having it replaced. They may even offer to upgrade you to a Razor or some such higher end model if its better than yours.
