I have an SP 510 UZ digital camera. I have just bought a new telephoto lense, but I can't seem to get the existing lense off the cammera. Help!

Hey john42hockey,
The lens on this camera is not removable. What you need to attach the telephoto lens to your camera is to get a 43-55mm Step-Up Ring, and a CLA-1 lens adapter tube. You should first attach the lens adapter tube to the camera, and then screw the step up ring into the tube and then screw the telephoto lens into step up ring. I have included a link to the manufacturer where you can purchase both the step up ring, and the lens adapter tube incase you need these. I hope this helps!

Is the olympus sp- 510 uz a good camera? I found one at the pawn shop for a good price. I want to use it to take pictures, as a hobby. The guy that sold it to me, said I can take black and white with it.

It was $279.95 when it came out in 2006. A lot of people liked it. If yours actually works (buying at a pawn shop is always "iffy") and you got it at a great price, be happy.

How do I get the date stamp on my Olympus SP-510 UZ Digital Camera pictures?

The SP-510 will not deface your pictures by scrawling numbers across them. However, the data is stored with every picture. Depending on the program and printer, you can print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back. Please refer to the documentation for the program.

If you print directly from the camera, refer to the instructions in the "Printing" section of the camera manual (page 46 in my copy).

Raw picture on olympus sp 550 uz

Assuming your SP 550 UZ is similar to the 510 UZ "RAW Mode" is not available in "Auto" or any of the "Scene" modes. If you set your camera to "P" and then access the Image Quality item in the Menu RAW is available as an option.

if you go to the olympusamerica.com/store you will see the telephoto lens but you will need the cla-10 adapter to use it with your camera
although you do get more telephoto with it... you can turn the digital zoom on in the camera and go to 90+ times zoom
