Question about Canon Pixma iP6600D InkJet Photo Printer
I have the above printer that has a damaged internal card reader. I have purchased an external USB 2.0 card reader but the printer states uncompatible device and asked to remove the device.
The port that you plugged the card reader into is only meant to be used with PictBridge compatible cameras. These cameras do all the processing and setup to send a print job to the printer. The printer does not have the capability to 'read' what's on a card through that port. It can only do this from the memory card slot.
