Pioneer DEH-P9800BT with Nokia N95 8GB via Bluetooth

Hi!

I have connected my phone N95 8GB to this DEH-P9800BT, but when I'm calling to someone, music (radio) stops and I can't hear anything and receiver also, but call is active. With incoming calls there are no problems.
What it could be?

Regards

For example, after rebooting the phone I can make a first call without any problems by using bluetooth and Pioneer. When I'm making the next calls problem is there again.

I have noticed that the N95 recognizes the DEH as an headset not like car handsfree.

Sometimes the call is diverted to the phone, so the deck stops playing. Happens to me too

I own the the Pioneer DEH-P9800BT and my screen will not come on. if i press the eject button the screen will come on when its open, when i press it again to shut it the screen goes blank. I have no idea...

You will get this problem when the printed ribbon is slightly cut because of the repeated opening and folding of the screen. Eventually, the ribbon will be cut to the point that you won't get any sort of response when pushing any of the buttons on the faceplate. Order this part number and replace it. P/N:XNP7026. You can get one from Ebay that already has the connector plate soldered on, if you do not have any experience with soldering to printed circuits. Connecting it is fairly straight forward. Remove the top plate of the receiver, 4 screws securing the cd-unit, unlatch the ribbon (paying close attention to how the ribbon was routed). Reroute new printed ribbon and reassemble the unit in reverse order. Good luck, hope this helps because I was rather upset when mine failed.

Deh-p9800bt My screen is gone

I opened the radio and found that the wired ribbon that connect the front display plug to the inside main electronic board was cutted on the place that the ribbon bends when the face plate move in and out to take off the display or put a CD.(It sees like after years opening and closing ribbon makes an edge and break). I called Crutchfield and they brought this phone # for Pioneer replacement parts, Tel. 1-800-228-7221. I called and ordered the part (P/N:XNP7026, FACEPLATE RIBBON CABLE - $24.95) and I installed it, the decks is working perfect! If you have electronic working experience will be easy, if not, buy the part and bring it to an electronic shop. The front connector plug has to be reused. This cable is used on other models like : DEHP6800MP, DEHP7800MP, DEHP780MP, DEHP9800BT, and the DEH980BT. Hope that this help!

Pioneer deh p9800bt

There is a yellow wire that needs to be connected to a constant +12 volt supply. This wire retains all of the pre-sets, settings, etc.

It sounds like it is not.

Check the connections with a volt meter with the vehicle off to verify it has constant +12 volts.

Best of Luck.

Alternor noise

I had the same problem with my Pioneer Head Unit.

I changed the ground of the Head Unit and the AMP to the same location and that took care of the Alternator noise.

Pionee DEH-P7900Bt

This may be a long shot but who knows... I am one of those that reads the manual after I have figured most things out. I had the same problem but it was due to the above :) When a call was coming in I was pushing the phone button on the receiver. After reading the manual I discovered that is the "ignore" button for incoming calls. To answer the call you simply push the multifunction knob.
