Question about Nokia N73 Cellular Phone
I purchased the hugely popular product of Nokia (N73 Music Edition) on 28th May 2008 bearing Product Code No. 0543843 and IMEI No. 358973017106960. But to my utter disappointment I have noticed that the recorded video files do not run smoothly when played but run with jerks. This complaint was forwarded to Nokia when I had N73 General Edition, purchased on 8th Jan 2008 bearing IMEI No. 358974011474214. This is a long story and its details can be obtained from my Nokia Complaint No. 2-31XVKD.
It is useless to approach the Nokia Care Centre here as they failed to find a solution to the said problem earlier saying that the problem exists in all the said models of Nokia.
Having gathered information from the Internet, I downloaded the Nokia Software Updater and upgraded the Software Version of my phone on 18th June 2008. The latest software version is V4.07126.96.36.199 RM-133 against the erstwhile version: V4.07188.8.131.52 RM-133.
But unfortunately I have observed a new problem in my phone. The snaps taken through the image camera mode appear darker than before and a very light greenish tint with a snowy surface film turns up on the resulting image. This problem goes over the head of the so called Nokia Hardware Engineers here.
Now I would like to ask you whether such faults exist in Nokia N73 Phones or is it because of a weaker and slower processor or is it a fault of the hardware and software ? Please help me find a solution to this. I would like to mention here that no such problem exists in my brother's N72.
Reset the phone to default using the method that dofsqaa stated above. Turn off your phone. Hold the following keys WHILE it's turning back on: (* + 3 + green key). Don't let go till it asks you about your location. I had the same problem with my n73.

You can hard reset the phone (Factory Settings - Reinstall)
Switch the phone "OFF"
Hold "3" (button) + "Green Call" (button) + "*" (star button)
Switch the phone "ON" while holding the above three buttons.
Continue holding for about 20 seconds then let go.
Please note this will format all the saved information stored in phone memory.

I also have a Nokia n73, when I am playing videos they run run smoothly I have no problems with it, I don't know why yours is doing that but I might be able to help.
To format phone memory:
Follow the instructions above, (hold 3,green etc)
To format memery card:
Menu -> Tools -> Memery -> Options -> Format mem. card
To restore factory default settings:
Menu -> Applications/Tools (Can't remember which one) -> Settings -> Phone -> General -> Orig. phone settings.
I hope I have helped you, if I haven't o'well.
Please email me back the results (firstname.lastname@example.org).

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
