Your monitor's driver is probably corrupt. You need to go to the manufacturer's website, and redownload it.

Hello sameirr,
This usually happend when you have the wrong refresh rate in your display setting Verify that the refresh rate is set to 60hz or the same rate as as the power you use in your country,
If it is set correctly and you still have wavy images, verify that you do not have a neon light, or an electrical device (motor, fan, or other ) near the monitor, you can verify their interacton with your monitor by turning them off momentarily or moving them away from the monitor
Hope this answers all your questions Please remember to Rate/vote for any solution that helps you out. Leave a comment if you need more help. Thanks for using Fixya

Screen is wavy and writing hard to read. We changed monitator

Sometimes this problem is produced because the screen is set up to a display setting to high for the monitor, and there are wavy pictures, and almost impossible to read.
Other trhan that, could be a bad monitor cable.
Hope this helps

Free infection remover for my computer

MalwareBytes ( Spybot ( are great free spyware removers. Spybot also has a monitor that continually monitors your system. AVG and Avast! offer very good Antivirus and AntiSpyware software for free. AVG also offers LinkScanner, which actually scans every link when you search for something to make sure the websites aren't on a blacklist. Hope this helps.

Good Luck,

I have a compaq hp hardrive trying to install a sylvania 19" Flat screen there is power to the screen but no picture. whta do i need to do to get it running

The first thing to do is to make sure all cables are plugged in tight, all of the power cables and the cable to the pc. This seems to be too simple but it fixes the problem most of the time.

If the monitor still doesn't come on you have to determine which component is not working.

To determine if the monitor works then plug it into a computer that is known to work. If the monitor comes on then it works. again very simple but thorough. If the monitor does not work then you have a bad monitor.

To determine if there is a problem with the computer then plug in a monitor in that you know works. If you still do not get an image on the screen then the component in the PC is broken. If you get an image then something is wrong with your new monitor.
