Question about RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100
We had the same problem and you won't believe how simple the actual fix was!!! When you plug the USB plug into the keychain device or whatever device you are using (in our case it was a keychain), make absolutely certain that the plug is pushed in all the way (it is tough to push in) until it actually clicks and all you see is the black part of the USB plug. Then try your software. It should work!!!

If you're getting an error message when opening the software, check to make sure you have the photo keychain plugged in and changed to the "USB Update" setting (done on the keychain when plugged in). The photo keychain must be plugged in and changed to "USB Update" before the software is run.
The instructions also said not to have the keychain plugged in when installing the photo viewer software, so I don't know if it would mess up the installation if it was installed with the keychain plugged in or not.

Have you installed the photo viewer software? you need the software to load images to the device. If you need it I know u can get it at the coby website. search for the dp-151. The software is the same for both models, I have the disc and it lists both the 151 and the 161.

I hope your trying to connect the device to your computer. If so try uninstalling the software completly rebooting the pc then reinstalling the software

What are you trying to connect to, You posted this in blackberry issues. This device will not connect to blackberry.
For computer remove the software reboot the pc then reinstall the software. IF that doesn't work let me know.
