Can you explain how to enable dvd playback for Sony XAV60 while driving? Thanks. dan.r.webber@gmail.com

You need to bypass the parking break engaged function of the head unit. This of course is not intended (obligatory safety rant) because you shouldn't be driving and watching a movie. It can be done however by taking the parking break line and connecting it to a low voltage constant power source.

I need the radio code for my ford ka the serial code is M020578 PLEASE HELP

Hi,

The code for this radio is
0 0 5 6

Please, please, do leave a vote and a comment to confirm this code is correct
as there are several people vindictively downrating these completely free (and correct) solutions for no good reason.

To others viewing this solution: THIS CODE APPLIES TO THIS PERSONS RADIO ONLY.

If you are viewing this and need a code for your own Ford Radio (European Fords Only) you can get it for £3.50 from this site which is excellent value considering dealer charges.

Alternatively if you are willing to pay Ford £25 you can also contact your local Ford dealer directly and do that.

Thanks for using FixYa.

When it plays movie the display does not play the picture it shows the backround writen WARNING STOP VIDEO PLAY

OK I'm not to great with this but its something to do with you driving and watching movies it wont let you but when your stopped and car is in park it will let you play movies. If this is right then its one of your wires you have to look into it more but I had the same problem with mine.

Cant view movies with out handbrake on would like to bypass this

you need to ground out the safety wire on the deck to the chassis or find a power wire that is always on like p. antenna. or you could see if that particular deck has a code you can put in so it will allow video while car is in drive or moving. if you had it done at a stereo shop they are required by law to hook it up that way because it is illegal to view dvds while driving

Can I watch movies while moving?

There is a wire that goes to the park brake switch. That will need to be permanently grounded to bypass the security feature, but if it's a factory player, it may be integrated into the car's electrical system and may give you a park brake light on the dash if you do this. Prolly best to remove the wire from the park brake switch, and move it to a switch you create on the dask or something, that way you can turn it onn and off at will.

I have a jensen car dvd player. the model number is vm9510ts. the problem is that i when i insert a dvd all i get is a blue screen. i wanted to know is there a bypass code that i can enter to stop this

No - I've seen about a million people on here asking about a bypass code. They don't exist. What you have to do is take the peach-colored wire in the harness and run it to a ground (find a screw installed into the metal framework inside the dash), and put a switch on the wire, so you can break and reconnect the connection at will. Normally you'll leave the switch closed (activated, toggled, so the ground connection is made).

When you want to watch a DVD, put in the disc. When the blue screen comes up, flip the switch off, wait 3-5 seconds, and flip it on again. The movie will come up, and you'll get to drive away with your movie playing.
