Hey ikpoole,
What you need to do to transfer your images to your computer is first make sure you have installed the software that came with the camera on your computer. Make sure the camera is off and connect your camera to the computer using the USB cord that came with the camera. Turn the camera on and your computer should detect the camera and ask you what program you want to use to download your images, and select the EOS Utility. Your images should now download to your computer. Another way to download your images would be to use a card reader that supports your type of memory card and plugs directly into a USB port. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

Windows XP wont dowload ALL images from my Canon EOS 400D

Your canon must be making multiple folders on the card and the computer is only reading the first one. Use a card reader to download your pictures.

DELETED IMAGES

Hi

There is software you can try, and I'm sure there are online businesses where you can send the card for help. Try doing a google search for 'image recovery' I found cardrecovery.com that has a free trial for their software.

Good luck.

Very blurry pictures on a Cannon Xti 400D

If u had took photo in very low light, pictures will appear blur. Or if you use tele zoom, u need to use tripod to stablize. In normal conditions, you can turn on image stablizer.

Cannot get pictures of my Cannon Rebel XTI camera

Do you have a USB card reader? You can pick these up cheaply, and it is quicker and easier to take the memory card out of the canon and read it with the card reader.

EOS 400D Digital Camera Software

Hi
If you bought your camera (400D) new it would have come with RAW conversion software on a disk. You can start by installing this. To get the photos off the camera you should be able to plug it in vis the USB cable that came with it. The better way would be to buy a card reader. This is a lot quicker, save on battery wear and tear, or save you plugging in the power.

Alternative software would be to buy Adobe Photoshop Elements for the RAW processing. This is a good start for most people.

Driver for Canon EOS 400D

This camera does not require a driver on windows XP. The most common cause of USB related communication issues is the USB cord itself. Second most common cause is the USB port on the camera as they are easily damaged. You can fix the problem by buying a USB card reader instead of plugging the camera directly into your PC. If you use the camera's USB port it will eventually fail, they simply can not last through years of plugging and unplugging and the bumping around associated with use of the on board USB port. With the card reader you simply remove the memory card from the camera, plug it into the reader and then proceed to get your pictures. It is simple, reliable, and all around the best solution to this and all problems related to communicating with your camera over USB.
