How to re-setup the linksys wireless router

If you did not change the IP address of your router then you can configure one of your computer to use static IP address in the same subnet as the IP address of the router and connect to the router on one of the LAN port. Then you can open the web page of the configuration by using the IP address of the router (on the LAN side) such as 192.168.0.1 (according to the manual or specification you can find about that router on linksys web site). Then you can login and configure the settings. Sometimes they use Admin and blank password as default login in user credential. If you want to restore the factory default, then you just need to press in the reset button which is usually a tiny hole on the back of the router close to the power cord. You can stick a paper clip or something into it and hold it for like 30 seconds and everything will be restored.

I can't load some web pages when I connect wireless with the Sabrent NT-WRLRT Wireless broadband router

There could be several reasons for this. Make sure your DNS settings are correct, you can test this by using another computer..
replace <URL> with the address you are having problems with. i.e. google.com if you can't pul up google on your wireless machine, and replace <IP> with the resulting IP address

on your working computer:
1) go to start > run > type " cmd " in the box and hit enter
2) in the new window that opened, type ping <URL>
3) when the pings are successful, write down the IP address (you will see " pinging <URL> [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] <--- This is IP address)

now go to your malfunctioning machine and repeat the process, if the IP addresses are different, you will need to change your DNS settings. If they are the same, and you still cannot pull up the site, the site itself may have problems, or you may have inadvertinly blocked the site within your browser from being displayed, this can usually be undone by checking the security features withing your browser's security settings

When i try to access the yahoo online pool game i get as far as joinning the table and then i get an alert saying to turn off my pop up blocker and the damn things off

To change Pop-up Blocker settings
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click Pop-up Blocker Settings.

=Internet Explorer Tools menu=

If you want to see pop-up windows from a specific Web site, type the address (or URL) of the site in the Address of Web site to allow box, and then click Add.

=Pop-up Blocker Settings window=

Tip: To temporarily allow a site to display pop-ups, click the Information Bar when it notifies you that a pop-up has been blocked. Then click Temporarily Allow Pop-ups.

To block pop-ups even if they are launched when you click a link or button on a Web site
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click Pop-up Blocker Settings.
3. Select the High setting in the box near the bottom of the dialog box.

Note: If you want to see pop-ups that are blocked when you have this setting turned on, hold down the CTRL key while the window opens.

*Your vote is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Best regards

If they listed the web address in the e-mail, try typing the address in the address bar or the search bar of a search engine. If you have any other questions or have already tried this, let me know.

I JUST PURCHASED A GATEWAY LAPTOP AND I AM TRY TO REGISTER IT. I USED THE WEB PAGE THAT WAS GIVEN, BUT THIS SITE CAME UP INSTEAD. PLEASE E-MAIL ME AT : bpendergrass3@juno.com THANK YOU, BECKY...

Becky,

If the Site that came up was a Microsoft Site (you can look at the address in the Browser address bar to see), then you need to proceed from there to complete your activation of windows.

Please post back, especially if I misunderstood your issue. You can post the address of the site you mention in a reply, or give more detail as about the site.

Good luck.
