ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

DEAR SIR,

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer can be done by two means....

1.INSTALL THE SOFTWARE C.D GIVEN ALONG WITH THE CAMERA IN YOUR NOTE BOOK....
THEN SWITCH ON YOUR CAMERA AND CONNECT THE CAMERA TO YOUR P.C VIA U.S.B CABLE,AND WAIT FOR FEW SECONDS FOR THE P.C TO DETECT YOUR CAMERA,ONCE THE CAMERA IS DETECTED IT WILL ASK YOU,WHETHER TO COPY YOUR CAMERA IMAGES TO YOUR P.C
AND JUST CLICKOK...YOUR FLES ARE BEING COPIED.......MAKE SURE YOU HAVE KEPT YOUR CAMERA ON WHILE CONNECTING TO NOTEBOOK...

2..Remove the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

thank you..take care

It doesn't matter to the camera what operating system you have on your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa.

Before connecting your ViviCam 3350 to your PC for the first time you must first install the Twain driver first.

After the driver software has been installed, your still images and movie clips can be transferred to your PC using the USB cable. You will know that the ViviCam 3350 is ready to use when two icons appear on your desktop. The “ViviCam 3350” icon is used for downloading still mages to your computer.
The “PCCam” icon is for using the live video feature of the ViviCam 3350.

Just the camera

Firstly, this camera doesn't need any special software for XP. Go to this link http://www.vivitar.com/vivitarwork/digicamdrivers8.php and download a full users manual for your camera. It will have a section on how to hook your camera up to your computer. Most people by the way use card readers to save wear and tear on their cameras. Much more user friendly and usually faster.
