Did you check all the protect resistors around both chips? Most are going to be dark gray 1 watt and 1.8 ohm-----should test just like a fuse. If you missed even one that is open set will have exact same problem. DOES SET HAVE EXACT SAME CONVERGENCE PROBLEM AS BEFORE THE TWO CHIPS WERE REPLACED? SD TECH
One or both of the STK convergence chips have probably failed.
I can give you guidance on this if you are confident to do the repair. I had the same problem with my Tosh 40WH08B and after replacing these chips it works like new.
I charge 285.00 at my shop ,so if you cannot fix it your self you are looking at repair anywhere from that price or more .You have 2 STK ics these are your convergence Chips .You would need to replace both of them.If you can solder you have it made.
Check any / all soldered in micro fuses...F851,F852,etc.

You may have bad convergence chips in the set. I have worked on some with similar problems and replacing the convergence chips was the solution. Good luck and I hope this has helped.

There are kits available online, which include the chips and the soldering iron too.......Just a word of caution, convergence chip replaced is more difficult on Toshiba #1 the chips face other boards that must be remove first. the main one is the convergence generator (which the sheild is soldered in placed) Also the signal board (which is what everythings mounted to is very fragile)..............Good Luck
