First off I would recommend not buying a Samsung. Go with Hitachi, Sony, or Panasonic. for that range you would want closer to a 60''
Keep me posted,

I have a 50 inch samsung plasma. It is getting lines all the way across the screen. I'm up to 47 lines is there anything I can do to fix it?

Several things can cause problem with plasma TV's. You may be getting electrical noise from an appliance or lighting such as halogen or florescent, dimmers, bad electrical connections and outlets. Also, bad cables can cause problems too; have you tried switching those out? Appliances like vacuums, fans, regrigerators, anything with a motor can cause lines and noise on TV's. Have you tried connecting the TV to a noise suppressing, surge protection power strip? Do the lines come and go, or are they consistently in the same place all of the time? When did you buy the TV and is it still under warranty or an extended warranty? Do you have problems with any other TV's in the house? Look at each of these solutions, try them one by one to narrow down the potential source of the problem. If you've tried everything I've mentioned, it may be a bad TV. It does happen, but not often. And as a former Samsung dealer/installer, I know Samsung products have really good track record. In fact, every TV and smart phone phone in my home is Samsung. Hope this helps.

Have a new 50" Samsung Plasma and new cable box/dvr. Set up the TV for 1080i, but it will change that setting from channel to channel. Some channels are way off-center, almost as though it thinks it is...

I'm sure you enjoy your Samsung. It's a very good set. Unfortunately the set isn't causing the change in format from one broadcast to another. We are in a transitional stage right now where some programs were made in 16/9 and others in 4/3. Also, some are analog(480) some are digital(720) and some are hd(1080). In order for every program to fit your screen it has to go through the original format matching the broadcasters and the service providers output before even getting to your house. Just a few years ago there were many more formatting screen size issues but now it's getting closer to 75-85 percent of all programming having been either resized or reformatted for the 16/9 sets. Soon it will all fit properly. Hope this helps, Russmann.

Problem for choosing lcd tv

Hello,

When you buy a samsung, you buy a LED TV with a panel manufactured
by the company "S - LCD" which belongs to 50/50 % sony and samsung.
The S - LCD company is fully driven under samsung engineering.
Today, sony seems to buy their panels from "sharp corp" and trying to
seperate from samsung due to the cold war (high competition ) between
them

Just go for the samsung UN32C6500 32" 1080p LED HDTV.

Theres no better picture quality you can buy for 32".

Good luck....

I experience some temporary image retension with my samsung hp-t5054. What is the best way to resolve this. What are the best settings for my TV?

HI.

This is a common problem with this Samsung TV.

Is this a new TV? If so, remember that it has a break-in period of about 100 hours or so. Not everyone believes in this, but in my experience it does have an effect.

Try reducing your contrast ratio to 35 (default is 50). You shouldn't see too much of a difference and it may solve your problem. And if it's a new TV, you could try setting it back to 50 again after the so-called 'break-in period'. Hope this helps.

Good luck,

-LL

Yes, you need to buy HD station.
But with DVD you can get HD quality without any other station.
