Question about Washing Machines
I have a roper washing machine (RTW4340SQ0) model I think. Can not find the book. I will fill up with water but nothing else will happen after that. I think it is only about 4 or 5 years old.

your washers drain hose is too far down the drain pipe which is causing a siphoning action pull the washers drain hose out pipe some you should be able to hear water dropping into the pipe the reason it only happens in the rinse cycle is because the water from wash is being drained and before the water vacuum is broken the rinse water comes in causing it to keep draining

hi there i think the problem is that your big end has blown and this is affecting your gangle pin you will need to replace these and these are very cheap and available from any hardware shop your friend MR FIXIT

The drive gear for the functioning unit sounds like it has gone south. Unless you are familiar with changing devices like this, I would call your local appliance guy!
