Never. Windows by default has a basic driver for any graphics card. In any case lines on the screen are never caused by faulty drivers.

That will not matter. Only some of the high performance features will be disabled. The basic features will work with the Vista driver.

    That depends ...case to case

I have a video card radeon hd 2400 series for vista 64 bit compatibility, will it work on xp 32? what can i do to make it work?

Hi There,
Yes it will work with Windows XP operating system.
1. If you're going to change the Vista operating system to WIN XP 32bit, you have to find WIN XP 32bit drivers for *********** board as well as the HD2400. Install Xp 32 bit
2. For HD 2400 drivers just click the link. ATI The link includes Catalyst, OpenCL and Display drivers.
3. Wait for the download to finish, Run the 32bit display driver and follow onscreen messages reboot if prompted.

A. If you're going to use it in another machine just download the display driver and attach the graphic card.

Hopefully this information helps.
Thank you for using FixYa.

Need graphic card upgrade for Dell Dimension 4500 w/ pixel shader

This is an older machine that has a 4x AGP port for graphics cards. The good news is that cards for this slot are cheap...usually in the 30-50 dollar range. The downside is that you wont get the greatest performance out of them. I would recommend going with a Geforce FX 5200.

Comparable cards to the ATI All In Wonder 9700 Pro 128 MB

Hello there. The Radeon 9700 Pro was a high end graphics card in its time. Today the latest Radeon cards are 3870X2, 3870 and 3850 models. The 3850, while mid-high end range, would be a substantial upgrade from the Radeon 9700 Pro.

If you are planning to upgrade your system, make sure you choose the correct type of card (AGP/PCI-E) and that your current system has a good enough power supply to power a new upgrade.

Hope this helps.
