Make sure you are using the right kind of batteries. Not just the size (AA for example), but also check to see if the device needs Lithium batteries rather than Alkaline, for example). This can cause the issues that you see. Check your user guide for details.

I can't get rid of 'Lens Error' message and keep my camera switched on for more than a minute.

You don't need to drop a camera to get a lens error. Could be anything, from holding the camera in a wrong way (touching the lens barrel) or a bit of dust in the barrel or a gear, or a gear that breaks off. If the lens retracts correct when the camera is switched of, and comes out to the full extend when it is switched on, you should think everything is in working order. But when you say, the screen looks ver blurry that could be an indication, the lens is not coming out correct, or the focus mechanics does not work correct. I'm afraid you have to bring the camera in to a service centre (or buy a new one) if you can't solve this, by again take out the battery, charge the battery and reinsert the battery.

My camera lense won't go in. Everytime I switch it

Your batteries are too low.
When you switch on the camera, the lense go in. Then lense comes out fully. Then, if the batteries are low, lense goes in and camera turns off.
But if the batteries are too low, camera turns off before the lense retracts or even before the lense comes out fully.

MY CAMERA KEEPS TELLING ME TO SWITCH OFF WHEN I SWITCH ON AND THE LENSE WONT RETRACT FULLY WHEN IT SWITCHES OFF

Usually a result of a lens jam or some dirt/debris/sand getting into the lens mechanism.
Not much you can really do about it except to have the lens replaced. There are
some ideas to temporarily fix the problem, but it will probably happen again.
If you suspect dirt/debris or jams were not the cause then maybe the lens just needs
to be reseated.. just gently tap the side of the lens with a pencil and keep your fingers crossed

My sony dsc h5 camera lens wont open/focus

This might be a problem with the lenses' mechanism... Maybe you hit the camera (having the lenses extended, eventually). You have to pay a visit to the local service.

And in the future, use the protection that came with the camera (the black cilinder). It protects the lenses and also offers you the possibility to mount the lens cap without having to switch off the camera.

If the "!ZOOM ERROR" message is displayed on the digital camera, switch the camera off and on again 2 or 3 times.
If this does not clear the error, take the camera to your nearest FUJIFILM Service Station for testing and repairs. Problem may caused by lens zooming gears stuck.

FZ18 Lens Cap error message with telephoto converter

I have the same camera, and had the same problem. Make sure the camera is switched off. Then take 2 hard pieces of plastic with sharp ends. Carefully try & jam the outer ring with one, and try turning the converter with the other. I used a mini screwdriver, and left some marks on my camera. Thats why I recomend using plastic of some kind.
When you use the converter, switch off the battery saver in the camera. That way the converter won't jam again, as the camera won't switch off automatically. There is also a programme in the menu that is used for converters and external lenses. It also prevents the lens from retracting completely.
Hope I have helped you.

The lense does not close in

It sound like a problem with the zooming mechanism (lens would not retract or extended) Press the power button on and hold it down while extending and twisting the telescopic zoom lens. It might fix your problem. In any case it could not make it worse Good luck!

"lens error" on casio ex-z3

Sorry to say but a lens error actually is a problem that you cannot fix at home. When a lens error occurs, the motors inside that make the lens retract and protract were some how damaged, usually caused if the lens try coming out when you have it in your pocket or against a surface so it cant fully come out. You will have to send the camera in for service and you can do that by calling 1-800-706-2534, option 1.
