When this happened to me, the battery was absolutely drained. Charge the hell out of it, plug it into your computer and turn it off, ie put it charge mode. ALternatively try this
REVERTING BACK TO OLD SOFTWARE


If you are having issues with new software and you need to revert back to an older software version please go to the link below. You will able to choose your unit and revert back to the software the unit was on before the update. Please let me know the outcome of reverting back to the old software and whether this recifys the issues the latest software brought. This is good for us to know as we can look into any bugs there may be in the current software for this unit. Thank you

Need PND update for Magellan Roadmate 3120


Error message "PND needs to be updated" means the software version of your GPS is lower than 4.93. To update the maps of your GPS, please update the software first by visiting the link below:

Hello pretty please, if you could help rescue one problem. I have a navigation nuvi 660 Yesterday I got through the web updater updates loaded. Then I start navigation, and now I can not find more...


This is referred to as the "Zombie Mode". It happens because the main board in the GPS can not communicate with the flip GPS receiver board to poll for its firmware version, so its trying to reflash it but it can't.

Waiting for valid GPS signal


When was the last time you updated the QuickFix of your TomTom? It helps your GPS to find the satellites.
Please, do the following:
1) Install "TomTom Home" software in your computer from www.tomtom.com
2) Start TomTom Home in your computer
3) Plug in the GPS dock to your computer's USB port and place the GPS on the dock. The green light on the bottom right of the GPS should turn ON to indicate that the GPS is getting power from the dock and charging
4) Start your GPS while being in the dock. If the GPS asks "do you want to connect to computer" answer "YES"
5) The TomTom Home software will detect the GPS and check if there are any updates for it. Then you'll be offered updates to install. Some are free, some are not. Be sure you choose to update "QuickFix".

Nuvi 5000 not starting up


Call Garmin customer support at 800-800-1020 and they will talk you through the reset process for FREE! Wait time may be long but worth the free help! Good luck!

Unit decides to display a thin vertical line randomly


Try updating your unit software via Garmin.com. The US launched a new satellite earlier this year, causing problems with WAAS. You can disable WAAS as a temporary fix but updating your unit's software should provide a permanent fix. Let us know if this solves your problem.

Downloadig from memory map


Is Mapsource installed on your PC?
Are you using the "Receive from Device" icon?
Is your unit being recognized when you use "Receive from Device"?

If your answers are yes to all of the above, you might have to update your Mapsource programme (free of charge) from the Garmin Website. Also, updating your unit software from the Garmin site is also a good idea.
Please let us know if this fixes your problem.

Navman in no longer offering support for it's iCN 510. I am really mad about this. I spent $400 2 years ago for something that will not have anymore update. Here is there reply when I wrote to them about it. Class action suit anyone?
