  • Anonymous Jul 21, 2008

my lg shine wont send txt msgs, when i send a msg, a warning sign pops up and reads 'Sending failed'. Please help me.

  • Anonymous Jul 21, 2008

HELP. It wont send or recieve, even though my service number is correct, and yes, I do have a texting plan.

  • lesjam Jul 23, 2008

Same as the other posters: cannot send or receive text messages, despite having the plan, being able to in the past, and emptying my inbox so it's not a space issue....

My Shine which is only 2-3 months old is already having issues. It won't send messages. When I try it says "message sending failed". I will receive texts. Also it won't let me call people. It will have the calling screen on but doesn't make any noise.

My phone won't call people or send texts. I can receive texts though. It says "Message sending failed" when I try to text someone. Also when I call someone it has the screen which shows it's making the call but it won't make any noise or ringing sounds. HELP!

Solution Found! After searching like you guys trying to find the solution, I stumbled upon it by myself.

Edit the contact move the number from the SIM to the HANDSET, and then you can now call, its a problem with the SIM card.

I changed the MESSAGE CENTER NUMBER, and now i cannot send texts!!

Hi the problem you are having is with your message center number this is a common problem and usually happens after you have changed your sim card to another network all you need to do to solve this problem is call your service provider and tell them the make and model of phone you have then ask them for the correct message center number.
they wont charge for this and they will tell you how to set it up, you will also need to ask them to send you the latest wap and mms settings so you can use the net and send and receive picture messages. they wont charge for this either and they will send you these settings via txt message and this will then update your phone to the latest settings.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

SMS

to turn off predictive text go into messages-select- create new -select-message-text message-select then press and hold the * key and you will see in the top right corner it changes from ABC to abc or T9. to send sms messages go to settings -select -application settings-select-message-text message-select-sending options-select- GSM alphabet then maximum then text.
Hope this helps.

Phone help.

You have to use the message center number from the network provider.
You can only use one network at a time, to use a second network you'll have to change the message center number.
IE. Vodafone msg center number 12345678 to send Vodafone txt.
T-mobile msg center number 87654321 to send T-mobile txt.

AT&T, cant get use internet or sent picture messages

these setting are normally supplied by the provider.
You will need to contact them again and ask them to send you the WAP and GPRS settings.
These will come as 2 separate txt messages.
open each message and the phone should promt you to save the message.
save each message.
then go to your browser settings and set your provider as the default or prefered setting.( this should get internet working )
for the pics you will need to send a pic to yourself first to activate the settings between the phone and the network
