Question about Palm Tungsten E2 Handheld

Palm Repair I own a Palm Tungste E2 which has lost the calander dates, and appears unrelable to charging. It was purchased over 13 months ago. What do you suggest?

If does hold a charge although it take al long time to charge and there have been eposides wihter I have lost the dates on the calander without reason. Thanks

Device got slightly & briefly wet this morning, despite hard metal case. Hard reset gives date/time screen & notice of low battery. Nothing else works including hard reset, charging, and on-off

Tungsten e2 won't power up


Please follow the steps to isolate the problem:

1. Make sure that the charger is working.
2. Try using different charger just to make sure.
3. Try using different battery.

If the phone works using different battery, you need to replace your old battery, but if not, this phone needs repair.

Go to calendar, choose a date & time, tap on details. You will see:
Time
Date
Alarm
Location
Category
Repeat --> this is where you choose the recurring selection, after that indicate done. And check.

Your problem is more common than you think. Especially being a potential battery issue. Can you say a bad case from factory. Go to EBAY and order 2 more batteries. You are lucky they plug in.

Are the programs on my palm 505m compatable with the tungsten e2? I am thinking to purchase a tungsten e2.


I have purchased 2ea. of the handhelds over time, and used them since 2005. They are reliable. I would recommend you purchase a Aluminum case to protect it.

I have also had the same problem, and I discovered that it may be caused by a little sensor in the headphone jack which enables the external speaker. Sometimes it gets stuck in the "off" position. Try plugging in and removing the headphones, that should solve the problem.

Is this a battery problem?


If it's not the E2 going to sleep mode ;-), have it checked by a Palm service center http://www.palm.com/us/support/contact/repair.html .It might just need a new battery. Worst case scenario the charging system is faulty. Have it checked.
