I found that you need to convert the file to avi (i used autogk) then right clock the new avi file. you will then see the option to "convert to AVIi" do this and the file can be loaded, no problem. the secondary AVIi compresses it to about 500mb. The secondary AVIi is the software included with the player ver.5.09. good luck if you haven't solved it yet!

ML848b is frozen in main menu

I had the same problem with my gpx ml848b. After about 2 months of it sitting in my office I decided tonight to take it apart and fiddle with it. I took out all the screws to get the insides out and lifted the circuit board from the screen. I blew really hard in side between the screen and the circuit board. and to my surprise when I flipped it over( with it still dismembered) the screen became responsive again. All I can guess is something inside was not allowing contact between the circuit board and the buttons.....but this fixed it. Good Luck.

Videos....plezzz help me!!!

I had the same problem, I transfered files already in AVI format and the player did not recognize them. I used the sofware that came with the player (AVI Converter, I think) to convert my videos to AVI and I selected that the program copy them directly to player ( the player has to be connected to your computer while converting the files, obviously) instead of doing it manually. At least that worked for me. Another option is to convert the videos to flash format (.flv). I don't know why the player reads those kind of files (as per the manual and GPX web page it's supposed to read AVI only) but it works. Hope this helps.
