9 times out of 10 what you have is 2 cogs that are offset - ie they are grinding their teeth and you can fix it but is a deskjet printer really worth all the hassle...

Hello there.

Remove the cartridges first and check if some paper is still there.
Also check the back of your printer, you will see that there's something like a door which you can open. Open that and check for remaining paper and remove it.

Deskjet 5550; Windows 7; Microsoft Office 2007; not printing

That is strange
Try changing the default to a different printer (Microsoft XPS Document Writer) see if it prints to it...

Then (If that works) try switching the 5550 back to default.

If that don't do it, uninstall thee printer, reboot and reinstall the printer.

The black is printing dark redish brown

Dear friend, your Black Ink Cartridge is Empty thats why your printer is using the Colour Cartridge to produce the Black Colour. This is the reason you are having Dark Reddish Brown colour instead of Black.
