Hello,
Make sure you have your resolution set to 1680 x 1050 as this is the native supported screen size for this LCD. Also check your graphic card's overscan or manual adjustment settings. They might be manually set to offset the screen picture. Hope this helps, Chris
Jeff, make sure to check the satellite receiver's set up menu it also has ratio adjustments the need to be set for 16:9 or whatever ratio your comfortable with. Good luck !
There is a service reset "button" located on the input panel on the bottom of the projector. This should be what you are looking for you can also download the manual at this link. http://www.runco.com/legacy_prods/legacy_manuals/VX-5000ci-DHD_6-07-04_v2.pdf If you need further assistance please let me know. Also please take a moment to accept and rate my solution accordingly. Thank you, Lee
I have had what is fundamentally the same problem. I have a desktop PC that I am plugging in to my Panasonic Viera TX-32LZD80. I am using DVI connection plugged in to HDMI port.
The solution is fairly simple; use the Menu button on the TV remote to get to the Main Menu for the TV and then select Setup which should be the fourth of four options. This will get you to the Setup Menu for the TV for the current channel. Look for the Picture Overscan option, it will very probably be set to On if you have the problem of %5 or so of display being missing on all sides.
Switch Picture Overscan to Off.
This immediately should solve your problem. A note of warning on this is that I suspected this was the problem but when I first looked at the Setup Menu I could not find the Picture Overscan option.
If you are unable to find the Picture Overscan option then trying fiddling with the Aspect settings. You will probably find it set to Auto. Switch it to 16:9 and you should find the Picture Overscan option will be available from the Setup Menu.
You need to use the remote, press the Menu button... on the menu that pops up on the screen, use the remote to scroll down to where it says "aspect ratio", and then select enter.
From that menu, you can select all the different aspect ratios that your Runco can perform.
Here is a link for the owners manual, straight from Runco.
For Factory Menu, press MENU 1 3 7 0 Service Adjustment Mode, press MENU 2 3 5 7 Convergence Mode, press MENU 2 3 5 9 Use the VIDEO or VIDEO buttons to enter two different groups of adjustments Use the VIDEO / VIDEO buttons to toggle thru the adjustments Use the + and - keys to adjust When finished with adjustments, press ENTER to save Press MENU twice to exit service mode Hope this helps. You should look for the vertical height or size adjustment. Do not adjust anything you don't know about.
