Monitor Lines Everytime I start-up my computer I see these white lines (circle around with red see image below) and my computer takes about 10 minutes to start-up? Is it a monitor or my computer itself problem?

Okay it is definetely the Computer. If lines like that occur it looks like a corrupt system file. I wish i could help you further but i specialize more on FPD problems.

If you have software that changes your boot up picture, it might have made the image you are describing. Thats the only thing i can think of.
Theres software such as WindowsBlinds(just and example) that do these kind of effects.

I hope this helps you get closer to your solution.

Have you unplugged the power cord to the LCD? Let it sit for a minute, then try it. ALWAYS buy a UPS and plug any computer devices into it. Doesn't have to be big, a $50 unit will protect it from dangerous voltage surges.

Monitor vertical lines

Dear Choji,

If obviously the problem has not occured again then you have solved it on your own. Bravo to that. You shoud give yourself a proud pat on your back. But if the problem still exists, then its with the device driver settings of the monitor. Try reinstalling the monitor by reinstalling its drivers.

If this still does not help then refer to an authoised service personel.
