The format (codec) of the clips is not compatible with the available codecs on your PC. Assuming you have windows 2000/XP/vista you can download codec packs from :

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm

or alternatively I would recommend down loading a program called mplayer - which is a media player application with the codecs built in to it. you can grab it from :

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do I play videos?

It works just the same as you view your photos, only the video clip will show player buttons at the bottom. Use the left/ right and select buttons of the camera to play the video clips.

Help how do i run my movie clip on my coolpix. thanks bill

go to view your photos saved on your sd card... when you reach the movie clip, press the play button. the up and down might control the volume as well.
alternatively, please take the sd card out and use a card reader and transfer to pc all photos and videos.. then you can view it from the computer.

Rotate a clip
  1. Select the clip in the Timeline.
  2. In the Effects view, click the Edit Effects button.
  3. Expand the Motion effect in the Properties view, and do one of the following:
    • Drag the underlined value to the right of Rotation.

    • Click Rotate Left or Rotate Right to rotate the clip 90° in either direction.

Computer cannot read and play the .mp4 video files from my Sanyo XActi CMOS 1920X 1080 .Is there a software I can download from the net?

Yes.

This is what the Sanyo CG9 Users Manual has to say about viewing videos taken with the camera:

"About video clip files recorded with this camera
You can use Apple’s QuickTime to play back video clips on a computer.
Playback may be possible using other software that supports the ISO
standard MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 (AAC audio)."

There are many ways to view mpeg-4 videos, but the one that is recommended for your camera from the CG9 support webpage is apple's quicktime available from apple here.

Cant download to dvd

Hope the following helps. I had the same problem and then a friend recommended that when you plug in the camcorder into your PC, press the "DVD copy" button on the unit and also when it comes up on your view finder. The video cam suite program automtaically comes up on PC screen and you can then proceed. My problem know is that I also used the cam corder to record video footage on an SD card but the software only allows copying of the motion videos stored on the hard drive. Does anybody have any suggestions how I can get around this without having to pay $60 per hour of footage for the professional camera places to do it?

Video clips imported from digital camera wont play and the program closes down and restarts .this is just happened recently

What kinda software are you using to view the media? It might be a buggy program. Try to open the clips with a different media player. See if that helps any.

Camcorder Movie Clips, Conversion utilities, Editing utilities

what the moi's exactly do, I don't know. What I do is copy the mod's, and rename them to mpg. Then view them with VLC-player(free downloadable from www.videolan.org). to copy sdcopy.exe is useful.

Cannot view my video clips

You need to find either a menu option or a button that might say "ok" in order to bring you to the prompts of taking a look at your pictures. If you do not see it under your PC, make sure to go to your computer options. Click on the external devices or take out your memory card and insert it into the pc if you have that option.
