I have windows XP SP3. I am trying to install Pinnacle Studio 11. It shows me that I have to install SP2, but, I have got already SP3. Thank you

WinXP has 3 SP (and you are talking about frameworksp's) so you are welcome to windows update (if you of course have a legal copy of WINXP ;))

May 12th, 2008: Some customers reported problems installing Studio Plus version 11 UPGRADE (11.0) or Studio version 11 Standard (11.0) on systems with Windows XP Service Pack 3 was already installed (a message asking for Windows XP Service Pack 2 is displayed). Pinnacle is investigating this problem.

We can offer you the following workaround:

• Copy all the content of the Installation DVD of Studio version 11 to your hard disk in a new folder.
• Download http://cdn.pinnaclesys.com/SupportFiles/Studio11/WelcomeSP3.exe
• Copy the file WelcomeSP3.exe to the root of the directory where the Installation DVD was copy
• Double-click on WelcomeSP3.exe to launch it. It will take few seconds and then the Studio version 11 installation will start.

I think the best option for you is to Upgrade to Pinnacle Studio 14 which is $0, or Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate, which costs $70. An upgrade is cheaper than buying the entire version which will cost you about $130. The upgrade will work with Windows 7, Windows Vista (SP2), Windows XP (SP3).

On the other hand, if a program cannot be run under Windows 7 because of compatibility issues, you can right click on the executable file that will start the application and click Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check the Windows version you know the program worked with before. This will make it run as if it was running in Windows XP. update yr .Net framework to 3.5 or more. That way it should get install, if it doesn't, get back I will provide u a alternate solution.

What does it mean? Are you trying to download your Studio 11? or are you in the process of the installation for your Studio 11? Let me know what are you trying to do.

SP3 AS YOU KNOW INCLUDES ALL OF SP2 INFO.

TRY OPENING DISC IN PROGRAMS/LOOK FOR SETUP ICON AND SEE IF THAT LOADS.
