Question about Sony Ericsson K800i Cellular Phone

1 Answer

No service i recently dropped my phone in water by accident for about 10 secs. right away i took the battery and sim card out and blow dried it. then i left it alone for a a day and a half. then i took it apart and got rid of the water that got into the phone. then i left it in the sunlight for a couple of hours. then i tried turning it on the backlight and keypad light flickered and then turned off. "dont care" which i could deal if it still could receive or send out calls but it couldn't. i thought it was just the sim card but i tried it on three different phones and they all work. i researched for a little bit and i think it might be that the internal antenna might be loose is this true?

I've had this problem.Dont worry its fixable. And realy easy fixable by the way. Its just that water gets somewhere (i dont know where) and shorts the antena. You need to get the water aot and everything will be allright.First time this hapend to me i had to wait for t2 weeks befor the problem fixed itself . The second time i just got a hairdrier and heated the lights out the phone. For an hour it was fixed but tri not to get it to hot its a delicate temperature depending texhnology. Its probably better to do this while the phone if with its panels off.

A samsung phone got wet an everything seems to be

There is probably corrosion due to the liquid damage on the circuit board. You can try cleaning it with an old toothbrush and some denatured alcohol. If that doesn't work, then it probably shorted out the RF ic. This would have to be replace by your local repair shop.

Dropped cell phone in water.

If it doesn't come back after it dries out, it is toast. The only way to get your contacts - is if before it went out - you saved them to the sim card - then they will still be on there, when you move the card to another phone.. Sim cards are like floppy discs...

And if you a cell company that doesn't use SIM Cards for cell services (Cricket, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, etc - No the phone has no recovery tooks for your contacts) verizon sells a backup service but if you didn't have it before it went down, it does you no good now.

LG PHONE STUCK ON EMERGENCY DOWNLOAD

I had the same problem!! This might help: 1. Take out the battery, SIM card, and memory card (if applicable). 2. Let the phone sit in the sun for a couple of days. 3. Put the SIM card back in the phone and plug the phone charger into the phone. 4. When prompted, insert the battery into the phone 5. When battery is fully charged, remove the charger and depress the call button simultaneously.

I tired this and the phone is now working!!! Also, I do not seem to have lost any of the features!

Good Luck!!!

If it is not ruined you could leave it in a jar of dry rice. This should take care of the moisure.

Water damage

1) Take the battery, sim card (SD card if there is one) out and dry
2)Dry the battery compartmant
3)For about 24 hours turn the phone upside down, or so the water will drip OUT
4) Then for about 2-3 minuets dry with a blow dryer, on low
5) YAY your cell phone SHOULD work, if not then the damage is serious

Phone dropped in soda

Well you know now that the warranty is void, so you should take the phone to a mobile service center and have them service it to try and have it working for you again......but most water/liuid damaged phones are like a 50/50 chance of working again.
