Question about Vacuums
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. There are a few companies that make self-propelled vacuums such as Hoover, Eureka, and Some Kirby’s – there may be a few more but remember if you get a self-propelled vacuum the recommended belt change is to change both belts @ the same time and to change them every 4 to 6 months is what is recommended. A good way to check the sales ads in the Sunday paper or say “Google” the self-propelled vacuums to see what comes up, generally they are heavy and heed the self-propelled feature to move the vacuums. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
