Answering blackberry with Plantronics ATT V521

Whenever I try to answer my blackberry on an incoming call, I press the button on my bluetooth headset but nothing happens. I then have to press the answer key on my cell phone in order to take the call. The bluetooth works great with the voice dialing feature but answering is another problem.

    I have BOTH problems. I can't answer or call out, and basically can't use the ATT V521. It blinks a pretty blue light, but that's all I got for $69.99. I say BOOOOOO to ATT and Blackberry!

Tom tom wont connect to my blackbeery. blackberrry asked for tomtoms password and it does not have one that l have ever used.

The Blackberry asks for a bluetooth pairing code. Like most bluetooth headsets, Tomtom uses 0000 as a default code (4 times zero).

My garmin 765T does not have the bluetooth icon under settings any more. How do i pair up my blackberry to the garmin

This is usually caused by a corruption in the bluetooth firmware.

First make sure you have the file "006B055301.GCD" within the "Garmin/Remote SW" folder. You will need to connect the Nuvi to a PC with the USB cable to confirm the file is there.

If it isn't there you will need to download it and put it there. A copy of v3.4 can be found here:

http://www.shcbc.net/gps/006B055301.GCD

Next, SAFELY REMOVE your Nuvi from windows before removing the data cable.

1. Go to the screen that shows the map and where your current position is.

2. Press the icon in the lower left-hand corner that shows your arrival time.

3. You will now come to a dashboard screen. Press and hold your finger on the odometer gauge until you come to the diagnostics page.

4. Press the next button until you reach the bluetooth page.

5. Press the button that says "clear". This will erase any saved phone pairing information on your Nuvi.

6. Now press the UPDT button. You should see a flashing bar at the bottom of the screen that says its upgrading the bluetooth firmware. Wait until it reaches 100% and the flashing bar goes away.

7. Once the update is complete, press exit and you should now be able to enable your bluetooth and see the bluetooth icon. You will need to re-pair your phone with your Nuvi.

The problem is, that the bluetooth update file, named "006B055301.GCD" is corrupted, so your unit is locked in the updating bluetooth mode.

Is the Garmin 205W the same as the 265W, &/or what is the difference?

No, not quite the same, but very similar. The 265W has Bluetooth built in, for tying it to other bluetooth devices such as your headset, or car stereo that has bluetooth, also the 265 can SPEAK the street names, where the 205W only displays them. Otherwise they are identical units though.

Please make sure you rate my answer 4 thumbs up
, it is extremely important to me. I would be forever grateful if you could do so. If you need more help on this question please just respond to my answer here and I will get right back to you.

Thanks
Tim

I have a centrios bluetooth car visor speaker... and I cent remember how to get it in pairing mode so I can sync it with my new blackberry.

Pairing: Ensure speaker phone is off.
press and hold the MFB button for 5 seconds until LED blinks orange and unit announces "pairing mode on".
Go to the bluetooth section of your mobile phone and search for a new device. Once found "Centrios 1713165" follow the phone steps and enter 0000 to pair. Speakerphone is ready for use once it announces phone is ready. It should pair everytime it gets in proximity to the phone.

MY HEAD SET HAS NO CONNECTION WITH THE DEVICE (TOM TOM RIDER 2ND EDITION). THE DEVICE CAN NOT FIND THE BLUETOOTH HEADSET

Reset the unit by pressing the small pin hole button. Do this when the unit is on. let it reboot by itself and try again to pair ur phone/blutooth.
Hope this helps. let me know if not.

I have paired my blackberry with my tomtom go 930 the phones says paired but the tom tom can't seem to find the phone?

I detest cell phones, but here's how I got my wife's BB8100 and BB8800 to connect to my GO930:
1) Press the button with 7 dots in a circular pattern (Menu?);
2) Click "Options";
3) Click "Bluetooth";
4) Click "TomTom GO 930" (yours may differ);
5) Click "Full Menu";
6) Click "Options";
7) Change "Discoverable" to "Yes";
8) Press the button with the curved arrow (Return?);
9) Click "Save";
10) Click the curved-arrow button until the menus are gone.
The TomTom should now be able to connect to the BB.

Had to do something similar on the iPhone 4 before it could connect (haven't found a "Trust" option yet).

Bluetooth

When you connect a headset (after pairing you double-click the headset's icon and click the headset service) you will hear a beep on the headset itself. When you "answer" this by clicking the appropriate button then the connection is finally established - only then the sound is routed through Bluetooth.

It seems you are doing this already. But the problem is that this only affects programs that start using sound after the connection is established, or programs that don't keep the sound channel open. I am not sure that MSN does it. You could exit MSN, connect the headset (confirm the sounds are coming through it by using Windows Media Player for example), then start MSN again and see if it makes a difference.

BLUETOOTH CONNECTION PROBLEMS

Well, according to THIS, the Blackberry 8100 can only be used for hands free calling with a Go920...

That said, it shlould be possible to establish a connection between the two...

Let the Go find the phone, not other way around...
It can take a LONG time searching for the phone, and it may not be able to establish a connection automatically..

If so, try to set it up manually, it will ask for that if it fails...
