Logitech wireless usb mouse not working

After changing the battery, the mouse will not work even though I know the battery is new. I tried hitting reset but it's still not working. The computer is recognizing the usb receiver but the mouse just isn't working!

Everytime I turn off and dissconnect my computer and then hook it back up my cordless, laser mouse will not work. Last time I had to uninstall the logitech drivers for it to work. I can't do that this time as they are still uninstalled. What do I have to do to resolve this problem?

My mouse was working fine last week-today-dead! Changed the battery-nothing.........the light won't come on-it won't work at all. I had to switch to the original one so I could work today. Any good suggestions, other than getting a brand new one?

Just see the bottom side of the receiver. you will fin a hole. clean the hole by blowing in the air. if this didnt work lust open the receiver(be careful not to break it, use plastic card or credit card on the side to open the hooks) and put 2 drops of white petrol on that part and leave it for one minute, then wipe it with cotton.

cheers...

i was also having the same problem but solved it with the help of logitech tchnical department...

Mine died too after dead batteries were changed for fresh ones. BUT, I got it working again by flicking the battery in and out untill the light came on under it again. Also try pressing the connect button first before doing this. Took a while. Other times just left the batteries out till next morning and then tried again and it worked!

Mouse quit working

Logitech wireless mice operate in a slightly different technological sphere to wired mice.
Wireless mice need batteries, they need to be turned on and they need an interference-free radio environment.
One advantage of wireless mice is that they tend to function with laser or optical parts rather than a ball and wheels, so there are fewer moving parts to go wrong.
However, optical and laser wireless mice have considerations to take into account.
Change the batteries in the mouse if the mouse doesn't work.
Remove the battery cover and insert new batteries.
On the underside of the mouse could be plastic sticker with a phillips head screw (star) under it
Turn the Logitech wireless mouse on with the switch on the mouse.
Plug the USB receiver into a USB jack on the computer.
Try to use a free jack that's actually on the computer rather than one that's in a hub.
Test the jack first.
Try plugging in a printer and see if the printer is recognized--that way you know the USB jack is good.
USB jacks are notorious in that you frequently get a bad jack on a computer.

Turn off devices that are in the same frequency range as the mouse.
Logitech wireless mice operate at 2.4 GHz, which is in the same area as Wi-Fi routers and older cordless phones.
Start by turning those devices off and see if you can eliminate any causes of interference.
Test with wireless speakers too, then computer power supplies, monitors, cellular telephones and garage door openers.

Place the mouse on a flat surface that doesn't reflect. Avoid metal surfaces too.

Hi -- My problem with the Logitech wireless mouse is not working at times. Changed batteries and hit the reset button. thanks. Elaine

Check your USB port. There may be a light on the dongle (the part that plugs into the USB.
Is the light on? If you know this is working and you have changed batteries the mouse should work. Try the other USB port as an alternative.

I have problem with my logitech wireless mouse it wont work i have an acer laptop

Hello, have you tried new batteries? Mine stops working even though the red light is still on, so you'd think the batteries are ok....and it's always new batteries that fixes it.

check if you have changed the Wireless adaptor which is connected to the laptop, every wireless mouse comes with it own unique frequency usb adaptor. it is compatible only with that individual adaptor

Why will wireless mouse M305 work on my old computer but not on newer computer? The batteries are fine but it won't work even though we tried in several usb locations but still nothing.

Maybe it needs to be installed on your new computer?
Find the installation software, drivers, etc. at this link:

Logitech mouse frozen up we changed batterys in

If the mouse is freezing up though the batteries are fully charged, here's what you need to do:

1. Try to use different batteries just to make sure that it's not a power issue.
2. Connect the wireless USB dongle into different USB ports of the computer.
3. Try to connect the USB dongle in different computer and try to use the mouse (to make sure that it's not a computer issue).
4. Make sure that there's no cordless phone, cell phone and other wireless devices that might interfere the wireless signal.

The Logitech wireless mouse is running on 2.4MHz frequency, same frequency as the other wireless devices. Any wireless device might cause the mouse to freeze.

If same problem occur, then it's a hardware problem. Contact Logitech and RMA the mouse.

Thank you and good luck!

Wireless mouse does not work after changing batteries.it always has in the past The Dell computer and mouse is probably 8 years old but has always worked.

Try moving the mouse receivers usb plug in to another port. Unplug any new devices and restart computer. Then replug in any new usb devices.
If still not working.......
Look at Office Depot and other office stores for a replacement wireless mouse. I have seen them as low a $9.99 on up. You might even want to upgrade and get a wireless mouse and keyboard set.

Mouse does not work I have installed new batteris

Try hitting the SYNC button on the bottom of the mouse at the same time as hitting the SYNC button on the USB receiver (assuming this is a USB wireless mouse). Also try removing the USB receiver and plugging it back in.
