You are not likely to find this online due to its age, but perhaps we can help to repair this. What exactly is the problem and do you have experience in repairing gear at all?

I have 4 speaker wires, black green red white speaker left + speaker right + speaker left - speaker right - which cable goes where?

4 speaker wires, black, green, red, white ;speaker left +speaker right +speaker left -speaker right. First see what pair of speaker wires go to left the channel of the amplifier. One of each speaker must be connected to each amplifier´s channel, no matter of colors of the wires. Two wires for each speaker to each channel of the amplifier (rear panel + and -). Then you will have 4 wires connected to 2 stereo channels of your amplifier. Two wires for each speaker.

Akai am-u01 righthand channel sounds distorted/blown please can you tell me what components on the board to check/replace the left channels fine i have allready re-wited most of the board but cant single...

You can try swapping the speakers over to see if the fault goes to the other channel. Remove the speaker leads from the input on the right channel and put them into the left channel input after removing the leads from those terminals, and if the fault goes there as well, then the problem is in your right channel speaker

Channel 2 Distorted/Clip light comes on

It sounds like the final amplification section is OK now. I'd be looking for a noisy transistor or transistor pair at the "front end" of the unit. There may also be a shorted coupling cap between the stages. If you can Email me the schematics, I can provide more details.

SPEAKER OUTPUT CHANNEL FAULTY, TWO MIKE CHANNELS DOWN

These are a real pain to open. You have to remove the front panel to remove a shield to remove the back amplifier power supply area. The power supply is a switching type and has lethal voltages present. Working on this should be done using an isolation transformer. With your symptoms, it is likely one side of the power amp MAY be blown, but do check that the wiring hasn't fallen off and the jack itself. Two pairs of wires come from the power amp to the front panel jacks. document location of ALL the cables you disconnect as they CAN be confusing to restore.

Low volume from Akai turntable attached to Pioneer Surround Sound Receiver

If you receiver doesn't have phono inputs, you will need to buy an inline phono amplifier.Phono inputs have a built in amplifier, all others don't.Try Crutchfield.com.If they don't carry them, they will tell you who does.

Creek 4040 Amplifier blown some speakers ?

I would suggest not using the amp before the problem is sorted. It may damage your new speakers :)
  1. It is possible that your input selector switches may be Noisy. What happens when you operate them, does it exasperate the problem?
  2. Noisy control pots may also be contributing to the problem. taking the lid off and giving the pots and switches with decent squirt of contact cleaner lube (I use CRC2-26)
If you still have issues, is the problem there on both channels?
If it is then there may be a power regulator issue. Is there a DC offset on the left and right speaker output(check with a DVM).

You can find a schematic here.

I am happy to talk to you more about the problem. I would need to talk a bit further with you, just ask away in here.
