Hi there i do believe this one will help you in some way if not even fixing the problem.
This is a web site explaining how the Fan wiring work
http://www.ceiling-fans-n-more.com/ceiling-fan-wiring.php
This other one is a schematic also how the wire need to be hooked up.

Hampton Bay also offer a Lifetime warranty. You can go to any Home Depot also and ask for a wiring manual and they will give to you since the product still under the warranty .Pls don`t forget to rate your experience...
Good luck

You can use a remote from Home Depot, where the fan was bought. Reverse will have to be done manually at fan.

mcdevito75 here, On the fan you hear, carefully turn the blades by hand just a little and see if they start up on there own. These motors are sealed units and maybe the oil is a little thick from non-use. If the baldes don:t start up, Then I would replace the fans.

We have a hampton bay ceiling fan model 54cvt. We cant figure out how to change the light bulb or change the direction of the blades. We dont have a manual for the fan.

This fan is also known as the Hampton Bay Covington 54 Ceiling Fan. You need to turn the globe anti clockwise until it comes out. The full instruction manual can be found here.

nothing wrong with the power supply, or the remote, the speed switch in the fan is faulty, as it is more finiky than a manual speed change(like with a cable)

Bulbs burning out in Hampton Bay ceiling fan

I would suggest getting an electrician to check the current running through the wiring. I had installed a similar fan in my grandmother's house a couple of years ago and had the same problem. After a couple of months of constantly changing bulbs, I brought in an electrician to check the current and found that there was a short in the wire which kept causing just enough of a current surge to blow the bulbs.

Fan won't go on

It's probably the electronics inside the fan. They may need replacing. http://www.ceiling-fans-n-more.com/hampton-bay-ceiling-fan-parts.php
