Question about Maxent MX-42HPM20 42 in. Plasma HDTV
I just took the TV out of the box today. Plugged it in and enjoyed a beautiful picture for about a 1/2 hour. Then, the picture started to 'burn out' and the TV made a horrible loud humming noise. Now, the TV has no picture, just the horrible humming sound. I can't figure out what may have caused this...any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
There is a short on one of the boards. The power supply may have also been damaged. You should take the set back to the dealer for an exchange.
I would sugget to buy a quality brand name if you want high reliability.
