It is possible that the hard disk is defective, or the ribbon cable, or the controler on the mother board. Parts will have to be tried to determine where the failure is.

Panasonic maintains literature, help, manuals and drivers directly from their web site, here. The driver posted for download is for Windows XP Home Edition w/ Service Pack 2.

You should attempt to install it (assuming a Windows OS) and see if it works. If not, you can try running in "Windows XP compatibility mode" - if your version of Windows provides this support.

I hope this helps! Please take a moment to rate my reply - thanks!

Cant find my disc 2 download pics

Windows XP or later normally finds devices plugged into the usb port, cameras are often recognised as a
USB Mass Storage Device or sometimes as an extra hard drive.

Try connecting you camera to your PC, click on "My Computer" and see if a new drive has popped up. This is probably it, just click on the drive.

If that doesn't work, go the camera manufacturers website, look for and click on the "Support" option then Downloads. With luck you should be able to navigate your way the to drivers you require and then download and install them.

Try using a different USB port. Sometimes the camera is not probably installed if you use the "wrong" port. After the camera has been recognized you should be able to use any port.

Unable to install Lumix digital camera software using Vista

First do a clean uninstall with the Windows Installer Clean up utility, after you remove the programs from your add/remove menu.
Then try inserting the cd, and going to explore it manually, look for a setup file that says vista on it, try installing that way.

Hope this might jump start the fix, I don't have vista =S

Connection Error

The Arcsoft CD will not help you as it is not a driver disc. No driver disc is needed. Sometimes the camera gives a false connection error message. The easiest way to tell if it is connected is to go to My Computer and see if any Removable Discs show up.
