Maybe the driver you installing for your graphic card is not compatible with Vista....try to look and download the right driver for your graphic card on the manufacturers website...

hope this helps

PNY GeForce GT440 crashes every time I play a video game.

Hello try to renew the graphic driver from here:

By selecting the model, and your windows system.

You can also use the auto find function.

By installing a small bit of software.

Maybe your power supply is too small for gaming performance
consider to upgrade that, if the driver update does not work.
I suggest a 500 watt PSU, so the graphic does not runs out of power.

Good luck

I would like to know if GA-7VT600 motherboard is compatible with ATI RADEON 9600 PRO 256 MB! Also I would like to know how to install it (previous graphic card an nvidia)! Thank you very much!

As long as the card is the right fitment for the board (PCIE or AGP), there is no reason why it will not work. Installing is simply a matter of slotting it in and installing the drivers for the card

I have an asrock 880g extreme 3 the doctoor debug is coming up 85 on the led displY, THE MONITOR IS IN SLEEP MODE AND IT WONT BOOT UP

Nvidia Graphics cards can trigger this problem, can you try swapping the graphics card and rebooting to safe mode to load the vanilla drivers (F8). If that works, could be issues with the card.
You might want to reset your CMOS to default as another test, to eliminate any issues there.
Finally, If you can get it to reboot using the OLD (original card) after resetting the CMOS, try running it with the standard drivers first, it that works, then it could be a driver issue

Hi Carpeteddy,
The ASRock K7VT6 motherboard does not have a intergrated graphics card onboard. So your 1.5V, AGP8X / 4X card needs replaced. It wouldn't hurt to uninstall the AGP's driver software, reboot the system & re-install the software. Check the manufactures web site for updated driver software before replacing it.

Here is a link to an XFX 1.5v AGP card:
The good part of XFX is its warranted for life!

Good luck Carpeteddy!

Re : graphics card nvidia

No the P4MV890 is very differant then the P4MV8. People like myself & others at FixYa need the correct model number to find the correct soulation. The P4MV8 has an AGP slot & the Integrated VIA® UniChrome Pro 3D/2D Graphics. The P4MV890 does not have a APG8x. I posted everything you need to correct lockups. I'll past it here for you:
sleepoholic, this is what you need to do. You can not run both at the same time. The Integrated VIA® UniChrome Pro 3D/2D Graphics & the PCIExpress. This is why your getting lock-ups. Enter your Bios setup menue. Go to the Advanced section. Pg. 25 in your manual. You'll see PCIPaP Configurations. Click it & than click
PCIE/PCI operatin mode. From factory it is set to [Async.mode]. Click on it & see what other options you have. You want to set the PCIExpress card first. Not the UniChrome Pro. Your on board UniChrome Pro is using your system1.gif memory. You no longer need to do that. The UniChrome Pro is not like an AGP card, which is a lesser card compaired to the PCIE. And theUniChrome car is a PCI, which is a lower end card compaired to the AGP. Your CPU1.gif & PCIE have a direct link to each other. OK? The AMR slot is for a modem. Most people do not use the AMR, they just use the PCI slot. AMR is supposed to be able to transfer data faster. (Sure!).Here is the link to your board:
Post back if you still have questions. Enjoy!
