Question about Maytag Dryers
The thermisor is located on the blower housing. To access it, first unplug your unit. Next, remove the two screws holding the hinges on. You will be able to lift straight up on the door (slightly)and slide it out. There are two more screws straight across from the ones you just took out. Remove these as well. Now the grasp the front panel about an inch from the top. Using your thumbs, rotate the panel slightly towards the outside, this will let if off the clips. Now bring it forward about 45 degrees and you will be able to ligt the panel out of the way. Now on the the housing. If you look there is a white piece of plastic just under where your lint screen sits. This goes down towards the bottom of the dryer. The piece it sits up against is your blower housing. On the right hand side of it, you should see two peices with wires going to them. The white one is your thermal fuse. The other one beside it with the black or silver is your thermistor. Just remove the screws and install your replacement. (these are availible from local appliance parts stores or online from the manufactures web site). Good luck and I hope this makes it easier for you.
