Question about LG Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

My split system airconditioner made a bang when turned on and it threw the safety mechanism in the fuse box. When the safety trip was restored in the fuse box, the airconditioner displayed a code "CS" or "C5" (can't tell the difference). What does this code mean?

It sounds like the compressor in the outdoor unit is shorted to ground. Checking this should probably be done by a qualified professional due to the dangerous nature of the high voltage that the outdoor unit uses.

Is it worth trying to repair a conia dishwasher that tripped our safety switch and appears to have burnt out the element?

May be an element that needs to be replaced. It also may have taken a logic board along with it. What make and model number are you asking about?

Is there a reset button?

The bang came from the fuse box (circuit breaker) or the machine? Check your fuse box for a tripped breaker (one switch slightly out of alignment). Turn fully off then on to reset.

Oven element tripped main fuse box switch

Try running it with the element disconnected, if it does not trip, then element is causing prob.
If it still trips, then look elsewere for prob,.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.
