SOURCE: I have some logitech Z4 computer speakers

If your TV has a headphone socket, then plug the speakers into there, then (you have to do this for some TVs, but not others), go into the set-up menu and turn the headphone volume to 70%. Switch on the Z4 and sound should come out, assuming all connections are correct.

Sis you connect it to the right port of the computer system?
NOTE right port is the port with the green colour, then asie that is your system speaker working with another speaker ?
if not then you have to install your sound driver first there after try using you speaker and you are good to go,

if all this option are not working, you have to check your device very well.

I bought a dell latitude but it was password protected and i dont have it any suggestion

I'd put Linux on it.

UBUNTU link

That computer is about 5 years old. Linux works very well with old computers.
Takes up less space, uses less processor power to run, and comes with free versions of pretty much everything.

I don't even think a current version of windows will install on a 5 year old Dell. So you'd be stuck with out of date anti-virus and no updates.

Boot off the Ubuntu disk and just wipe windows.

Sir, I brought logitech QuickCam 8.1.3 four years ago. That time it was working. but now I am not able to install it. In the middle please wait message is coming and it is not progressing. I...

Mr. Bhakat,

I'm so sorry to hear that. The problem description though is not clear to me. What is the operating system you are installing this QuickCam to? Is it Windows XP or Windows 7? The reason I am asking is that 4 years ago, Windows 7 was not known to computer's yet. Equipments back then have firmwares which were compatible with Windows XP. Now, in order to make the web cam work you either have to downgrade the operating system to XP or replace the camera with the one compatible with Windows 7. Sorry to say that it is not much of help but I really would like to give you the reason why you cannot successfully install this computer to windows 7.

Thank you for choosing FixYa!

My inspiron 600m laptop's monitor is giving me a MAJOR problem: as soon as i turn the computer on, after i log into a user and see the desktop, the screen goes black! the power/etc lights are still...

old post and terry does step1 good, battery out.
you called it a monitor but is not one, its just the built in screen right?
monitors are external. (and fail same way older than 2010)

this 600m is now 15 long years old in dog years (laptops are dogs)
it's 105 years old, 30 more than me.(omg)

if I saw anyone with a working 15year old lap top ,
id be like wow it works, lets do a youtube and everyone can be amazed at any old relic like this working.
what is this XP the Virus magnet? a hopeless case that.
never run XP ever. again.

now here is the list that all 15 years old laps fail first.
1: the main battery is old and dead or worse shorted.
2: the RTC coin cell died like 5 years ago or 10 and replace 2 times and now 3rd time is NEEDED NOW.
dell calls it a Reserve battery hidden inside the main battery bay.
And is custom to DELL, non standard like coin cells are.
read, pain to find/buy.

3: The screen is black but a flash light shined there, omg its not dead, I SEE DATA, that means the CCFL lamps are now dead.
as all are now, like that this old or died 5 years ago. as most did.
4: XP is hosed, (XP sux) worse yet is IE8. (you will be banned using it)

http://www.pcdied.com/XP-sux-sg.html

why not ditch this pig go to GOODWILL(tm) walk in
buy any PC with windows COA sticker showing W7 and newer on the case. spend $20 and go hog wild. ?
Buy only PCs with LED screens, 2010 is the threshold there.
Buy PCs that are w10-64bit certified only, 2008 and newer, yah!
Buy a PC with a Future and WIN.
W7 is plenty good enough for most folks trying to save cash.

My laptops slow need to make it better

Hello

Installing windows xp, will only slow down your computer, as windows xp use much more resources than 98.

Also, we are not allowed to provide customers with piracy links.

Driver for v220 logitech mouse os win 98

Hi

I'm afraid the USB mouses will not work on windows 98, please use the adapter so it fits into a ps2 port. (the old mouse plug) then of course you can check the logitechs website if they offer any drivers for windows 98 but its very unlikely.

Actually I looked myself and the oldest they offer is xp.
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/428/3295&hub=1&cl=us,en

so it would be a good time to buy a new computer, yours must be around 12 years old. considering that 5 year old machine is considered old, your 12year old machine is ancient.

I'm trying to use a logitech orbital webcam with Vista. Saya it's not compatible...are there drivers that will allow it to work..or do I need to replace the webcam? I purchased the webcam a couple years...

http://forums.logitech.com/logitech/?category.id=webcam_video

check out these forums.

If you give me more of a model number for the camera, or computer if it is a built in, I can find more specific information for you as to drivers for vista, if available.

Some of the older hardware isn't compatible.

Age problem

Since you have the answer, the easiest way to work with this is to work with real numbers and break it down. What are the knowns?
Rose + 25 = Dad
10 + 25 = 35 (today)
5 years ago, Dad (then 30) was 2x old as Rose will be 5 years from now (+5), or (30/2) -5 = 10

You can also put this into formulas
Rose + 25 = Dad
Dad - 5 = 2 * (Rose + 5)

So, if Dad = Rose + 25, you can substitute one for the other in the 2nd formula, like so:

(Rose + 25) - 5 = 2 * (Rose + 5)
Rose + 20 = 2 * (Rose + 5)
Now, you can solve for Rose and eventually come up with 10

I hope this helps.

Help please

Windows ME is going to provide you with a world of frustration as far as Mp3 players are concerned - I upgraded to XP just because of this issue. Services that worked with ME even a year ago no longer work - the support is dropping daily.

Check Sansa's website, but you are not supposed to need any drivers to get it to work with ME.
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
