My computer does not boot

The reason with your laptop does not boot is power chord does not plug in...memory problem...operating system and corrupted hdd...
Check the power chord if properly plug to the outlet Check the memory if you heard 3 beep or 8 beep...if you hear 3 beep...the memory is not installed properly...check and install properly...if you hear 8 beep you need to replace the memory with new one...if you hear a continuous beep...the memory...discard the memory...open the laptop then off immediately...then install the memory again...
if the problem still exist...

Please go to the nearest repair center to fix the problem. Because it is very fatal and need assistance from a technician

I have Intel Desktop D845GLLY motherboard, recently it has no display and when power is on it gives three beep. I have a intel board that was running find until i upgraded memory and changed the dvd...

The three beeps tells you that something inside the system is not properly installed. Check all hardware installations and position properly all hardware not properly installed. If nothing is improperly installed, try cleaning the RAM with a piece of clean cloth and install properly.

My apple macbook won't start and continuously keeps on giving a beep sound.

the beep pre-boot is signaling a kernel panic. It could be bad ram or something else, it's hard to tell without hearing the beep (they signify different things)
1 beep = no RAM installed

2 beeps = incompatible RAM types

3 beeps = no good banks

4 beeps = no good boot images in the boot ROM (and/or bad sys config block)

5 beeps = processor is not usable

taken from http://www.welovemacs.com/whdoallthbme.html
So depending on the beep, it means different things. However in any case I'd suggest taking it to an Apple Authorized Repair Facility. Unless you feel comfortable with assessing the proper solution on your own
Good Luck.

Installation of audiophile 192

Here is a list computer beeps and what they mean.

  • No Beeps: Short, No power, Bad CPU/MB, Loose Peripherals
  • One Beep: Everything is normal and Computer POSTed fine
  • Two Beeps: POST/CMOS Error
  • One Long Beep, One Short Beep: Motherboard Problem
  • One Long Beep, Two Short Beeps: Video Problem
  • One Long Beep, Three Short Beeps: Video Problem
  • Three Long Beeps: Keyboard Error
  • Repeated Long Beeps: Memory Error
  • Continuous Hi-Lo Beeps: CPU Overheating

Most times the beeping is caused by a bad/loose connection somewhere or card not seated properly.
Try disconnecting and reconnecting everything again. Make sure that all the power plugs are connected properly even if you didn't mess with them. Moving things around can sometimes be enough to give you the "BEEPS". ";-}

If you are still having much beeping and no computing you can try my personal favorite.

Start first with verbal threats. Next move to a second floor window and, while you explain whats going to happen if it doesn't knock it off, open the window.

If that fails give it the pitch.
Believe it or not I have used this technique and after reassembly and repair.....No more beep.

I hope this helps but if not let me know and we will try something else.

Beeping Sound While Booting

could you check that the time is correct when you next boot up, as sometimes a beep on startup can indicate a cmos problem, as you may have a flat cmos battery on the motherboard, and the system will keep losing the saved settings.
