When digicams are dropped most problems occur because some cables or wiring connections got loose. try taking it to a camera specialist to have it checked because if you open it yourself it might cause more damage.

Camera said battery exhausted when i went to take pic so I plugged it in to charge. light blinking but even though it looks like it is charging I cant turn it on to close lens

Normaly the lens would go in, as soon as the battery runs low.
Perhaps you should wait till you unpluged the camera.
Try to charge the battery in the external charger. Then after replacing the battery everything should work fine.

Lens error restart camera

same thing just happened to me today. the little girl that I babysit dropped it about 1 foot to the rug on the ground, not a hard drop at all. so i tried taking out the batteries and hit it on the table (read on other sites) then i gently turned the end of the lens (my lens was stuck out) counter clock wise and it clicked and then worked.

Where can I get my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS75 fixed?

call panasonic directly. however, your warranty doesn't cover accidental damage.

Shattered lens? not sure, but looks like it

Going to have to replace the camera. You can also try to turn it in to Kodak for repair but your easier route is to replace the camera.

Camera will not work

Using the wrong cable can certainly damage a camera.

You don't say what "inoperable" means. I have sold and serviced many digital camera over the years. Dropping a camera will often result in damage to the lens assembly causing blurry/distorted pictures or the lens will not extend or close.

If the camera is completely dead or fails to boot then you probably used the wrong cable or connected it incorrectly and fried the internal electronics. This particular Gateway/Samsung camera can be fried if you connect or disconnect the USB cable while the camera is power on.

Sounds like you owe your friend a new camera.

Lcd reads system error

Apparently often related to a lens motor malfunction. My old 4300 just gave this error for the first time today. The lens extended but made a whirring noise before the message popped up. Nothing I tried would fix it - but after I drove home it worked fine again.

I had a similar problem over a year ago after the camera fell out of my backpack (it was in its own bag but not well padded). When I used it the lens stuck and refused to retract, but I don't recall a "System Error" message. After a few tries, the lens went in and it's been fine since, until today.

Make sure there's nothing (dust, dirt) stuck in the lens barrels. Otherwise, just keep turning it on and off and hope it works.

Lens stuck!

I had a similar problem and I tried all the various combinations of resetting the camera, charging the batteries, plugging in the USB cable etc. After a week or so I powered it off and rapped it against my desk once or twice. Once I turned it back on the lens functioned normally and I am now able to take pictures. This is obviously a solution of last resort but since it looked like even the most basic repair was $90, I decided to give it a shot.

more than likely you will have to send it in. I don't think there is anything that you can do to fix that at home. If the pics still come out ok you can live with it. If pics get blurry then you will have to send it in.
