Optimum set up

It seems I cant even turn any gain up past 1/4 way on the amp at 4 ohm still
its in a dodge quad cab and I think the box is way to small so Im going to polyfill it
probox cu ft .60 per speaker minus driver disp.

The 12 W3v3 2ohms need like 1.125 sealed

will I achieve anything close to what the speakers desire

now I have to use mainly all my out put from my receiver and not my amp

0.6 cu ft per driver is awfully small for those subs. The polyfill may help, but I doubt it's going to make the subs feel like they're in a box 2x the size. It's sounding more and more like you may have the wrong subs for the situation. You may want to see about getting some different speakers (10's maybe?) that are tuned for a smaller box and 4 ohms each.

What's the best way to hook up my jl audio 13" w 7 sub to my jl audio 1000/1 amp

the best way? hmm. i would start off with some wire. Keep in mind that you will need to separate the positive (usually red or has a stripe or marking on it) from the negative (Black usually is the common color for this wire) and hook the up according to your amps positive and negative hook ups / terminals following your sub-woofers terminals. then depending on your sub woofers Voice coils (Duel or single voice coils) yours are duel or quad coils but i\'m sure they are duel (2 of each positive and negative equaling a total of 4 posts on each sub-woofer). figure out your amps ohm load handling and does your amp run hot (1,2 or 4 ohm stable some are even less like 0.5 or lower) i would run at a 1 or 2 ohm load as that is usually standard on 1 channel amps. make sure to check your wiring and if your not sure about ohm loads just Google wiring for sub-woofer ohm loads such as 0.5 ohm, 1 ohm, 2 ohm or 4 ohm loads. also make sure your box is not sealed do to the fact they are siht and cant produce sound like a vented / ported enclosure keep the size as big as you can fit in your car or truck the bigger the better. i had one 8\'\' sony sub pounding like a 15\'\' sub real loud . Also MDF particle board is garbage it causes port noise and absorbs water

So i have installed my amp, epicenter, all wiring is done, hace great ground.. But once i turn my car on to sound check everything starts fine but after turning up the volume a bit.. My amo goes into...

It sounds like you have your gain to high. best way to solve this is by turning the gain way down to - or lowest number , then turn everything on and upto the volume you desire, then slowly up the gain. also avoid using bass boost, I agree it sounds great but it puts strain on the amp and shortens life in the amp. with the bass boost off, you can adjust others (not the gain) to get bass.

Hope this helps

Amps turn off and cut out

You just gotta get your gains set up right. Look Up "How To Set your Gains with a Multimeter" your over powering your subs or speakers and your amplifiers cant keep up. you also have to make sure your speakers are wired to the right ohms. your amp cant handle. if your amp cant handle, for Example:1 Ohms your gonna blow your amps. ......Speakers and subs are a science too.

Trying to figure out what kind of amp i got amercian pro vs-3507?

The VS3507 Is a class D monoblock.
Your optimum wiring for this amplifier is a 2 Ohm load - so it produces its full potential power of 350W RMS.

To Achieve a 2 ohm load, the most common load is one of the following...
(1) Dual 4 Ohm Voicecoil Subwoofer Wired in Parallel.
(2) 4 Ohm Voicecoil Subwoofers wired in Parallel.
(1) Quad 2 Ohm Voicecoil Subwoofer wired in Parallel/Series.
(1) Single 2 Ohm voicecoil subwoofer.

This will run them in seris like my 4000watt rms amp at a 2 ohm load. Make sur your speakers can handel the rms load of amp. If not they will blow.

Hey quick question on JL 300/4V2 impedience light

If you're referring to the orange "Low ohm" light, it's most likely caused by the amp detecting a "lower than optimum" impedance for it's gain setting. The quick answer is you'll probably have to go through the steps outlined in Appendix A of the owner's manual. This will set the amp gain and input voltage setting properly for your speaker and head unit setup.

Alpine pdx 1.1000 amp

These subs are dual voice coil I'm sure...make sure they are putting a 2 ohm load on the amp total, and also set your gain and frequency setting right. Set the frequency around 85 or 90, make sure the lo pass filter is on. Turn the gain ALL the way down and turn your stereo to the point right before your speakers distort....then slowly increase the gain until the subs are playing at full volume. This should not even be close to all the way up, and the subs should sound accurate and bold. Turning them past this point will cause distortion, in which case you should back off the gain a bit. Distortion causes power to cycle through the amp very rapidly and can cause blown subs and blown fuses. If you do not know how to wire both subs for a combined load of 2 ohms, please let me know what type of subs you have.

Amp Will Not Stop Overheating

You say you have 2 p312d2 subs. Ok so the d2 stands for dual 2homs (2 X 2homs voice coils per sub) , conecting in parallel the 2 voice coils of only one sub will create 1hom load to the amp, and if your amp is 2homs stable per chanel that means you are lowering too much your homs causing the overhwating to it.

American legacy II LA690 amp

it's shutting off for a reason. What speakers are you trying to run? Do you know what impedance they are wired for? Where is the gain set? When bridged that amp is only stable at 4 ohms mono and will/should shut down at impedances lower than that.
