thanks....I knew that , I was trying to avoid the $ 125 dollars Kodak charges to fix a re-occuring problem which is inherant in the series of camera....ie the wire used is too small of gage to pass the flash current.....not something you would expect from a $ 300 camera...AND...design flaws should be covered under a time less warrenty....

You can take it to any camera store or Best Buy and see it they can replace it. Check with Kodak and see if they cover it on a warranty.

I bet its a design flaw. I know theres another camera made by someone else the the flash bulb pops and they cover it. You would think Kodak would do that same thing.

Flash does not work

I would say that either the bulb inside the flash has bit the dust and in such you would have to either get it fixed or buy a new camera, or that command and dial is not working on your camera because it is jammed.

Well, when i turn on the computer the monitor only flashes it alittle but then it like turns off, and it dosent leave the screen on?

I would first try booting from a boot disk or live cd to make sure it isn't a driver issue. If the problem persists, you may be looking at a damaged monitor. Take a flashlight, and gently hold it to the screen to see if the LCD portion is working. If the LCD is working, but the lamps are not then read on. The most common reasons for a monitor to fail like that are damaged caps, burned transformer, and/or burned bulbs. The control circuitry sends a burst of energy to the bulbs to light them, then backs off to user settings. Most monitors will sense if the bulbs didn't light, and try a couple more times before giving up. I'm in the process of working on one now that exhibits the same symptoms and after opening the thing up it needs three caps, a transformer, and a new set of bulbs. Best of luck.

When i use the sighnal it flashes fast and only the front lights up the back dosent but the brake lights do light up

The fast blink signals that you have a flasher bulb burnt out, as I suspect you do in your rear turn signal. The flasher sees a voltage drop through the burnt out bulb and signals a fast flash.

Blue light flashing and TV not working, then a couple of days later it works again. And then if fails again.

OK this will sound strange but I got these instruction for my Toshiba and for some reason it seems to be a common problem for rear project TVs. Unplug the TV, remove the bulb housing from the TV and tap it firmly on a counter top ten times. Then reinstall it, plug it in and turn it on. There is some sensor that is monitoring the bulb when it is heating up.

Flash no longer working on Kodak EasyShare C913

You would be better off selling the camera for parts, and buying a new one... sorry to say but that is the best solution... You can get a brand-new on for under $75...

If no joy we must assume that is is a mechanical problem and the camera is in a need of a repair.
If your camera is Out of Warranty the repair of this model for this fault is about 88 pounds + shipping. KODAK also offers a Trade up option where you will have the opportunity to trade up to a newer model 25-30% cheaper than the market price.

My usb cable dosent match the port in the back of 5300

Usb cables are universal, the only reason it may not match is if the MAN. sent the printer with it's own cable. That would not seem to be a Canon thing to do if it were a Dell then yes.
Also, try this the USB cable will only fit in one way, try turning it the other way and see if it fits. the silver end part has a line down the middle that part should be in the down position.

Flash does not work, have good batterys

probably there's a problem with the bulb of the flash itself and the cam would need to be serviced, contact kodak for that

you can try this too
use lithium/ni-mh> powercycle (remove batt and card)> put back batt> turn to PASM> try fill flash (at the top of the cam, use flash button), flash button at the center part of the screen should be a plain lightnightning bolt, no A beside nor line across it
take a picture
if still no flash - arrange repair with kodak
