Copier leaves a black line when printing through the top paper feeder. Ok coping from the flatbed

When copying from the feeder the page is fed across a fixed point at the head of the flatbed. Any dirt etc on the glass at this point can present as a dark line running vertically down the printed page. When copying from the flatbed, the scan head is moved down the page so any dirt on the glass will only appear as specs. Try cleaning the glass, especially at the head of the flatbed where the feeder is loading the page to be copied.

Mg6150 wont print in colour

Make sure that u have made this the default printer first. Then go to start control panel then printers folder. See if there are other printer listed . THen right clk on this one go down to properties. Make sure it is config for color not blk white..then hit test print button..see if it comes out.
Check the printer setup to..might need to update firmware.

you can select to print only in black from within the print driver under preferences in the print screen.. but now that the tricolor is needed to be replaced you must replace it before you can proceed once you do that you can select it to print only in blk

Put in a new color cartridge, but it still prints blk & white

Go in to the setting to see if you have enabled colour, it may be set to print in black only. check the cartridge to see if the ink is actually coming out. I once had the same problem when using a refillable cartridge and the chip on mine was faulty and had to be taken back to the shop.

White Out Line

wjite areas are usualy to do with dust on the scanner mirrors or on the lens slips for the laser unit. when you lift the feeder of the copier put a liece of paper on the glass and do a copy if you look at the scanner mirors where the bulb is you might see some dust either white paper dust or dirt this has a blanking effect on the copy quality also if you are connected to print to the machine and the copies are fine then this points to the copy side of things and the dirty mirrors.. they can be cleaned off with a dry cloth.. first turn off the machine then undo the screws holding th covers on the top holding the glass in place.. then gentley move the scanner to the side so you hav eaccess to the mirrors and gently wipe the dust off.. then replace glass and covers and try again. if the lines are still there the problem is with the dev units or toner supply.. also check the amount of toner in all cartridges as this will afffect the colour balance if one is out..if you let me know what machine you have I can probably get more details on proceedure

Printing black line when coping

You may need to replace the toner cartridge or the fuser assembly.

If you open the toner cartridge door and see a black line on the roller, you will need to replace the cartridge.
