Yes - last thing you need when you need a thermometer.  How does it open?  Does it open?

I just figured it out.

Holding the device so that the ear piece part is pointing towards you, locate a little raised arrow on the top of the device, just below the battery cover.

The arrow points to a little hole, which you need to push something sharp like a pen point into. This should release the cover, which you can now slide off.

Mine did not release so easily, so I also used a flathead screwdriver (a pretty small one, only about a 1/3 inch wide) to drive in between the body and the battery cover, twisting it off as I pushed a pen into the little hole.

Should work fine. Now you just need to get those weird lithium batteries it uses!

Good luck.

The battery is 3-volt Number 2032. I was ready to run it over with a Winnebago when I finally discovered that little arrow and figured out that I had to put something into the little opening to release the (very abused after I tried to pry it off with a knife) battery cover.

Need a battery cover for a Tyco Turbo Outlaw R/C car form the 80's. I think the model is no. S-288. FCC ID: CP57386204R

hi jason...

i looked all over for a battery... (i know you're looking for a cover, not a battery) in every shop in my town and other towns, and was told i had to order it... the cost was as much as the phone. finally i went to ebay and found one for 3 euros plus 5 euros shipping... a bit much on the shipping, but still a bargain at less than half of what i would have had to pay otherwise.

anyway, while i was searching around in there, i did see battery covers, i don't know if there are any for your model, but it's definitely worth a try.

here's the seller i bought my battery from: ml-mobiles_es you can do a search for them. they're in germany (i found them in ebay.es ...españa) and they have quite a lot of mobile phone goods.. especially for older phones. if this seller isn't on your local ebay, i'm sure you'll find someone else with just as good a selection and just as really reasonably priced.

if you've never purchased anything from ebay before, it's important to know that you need to look at a sellers past references... read the feedback from their customers to be sure you don't get burned.

also, a paypal account is a good way to pay on ebay.

I need a new Braun Supervolume Twist hairdryer because I like the long diffuser. Can I still get one please?

My wife has had 2 Braun Silencios PSK 1200 B's for almost 30 years - Yes about 30 YEARS!!!! I take it apart and clean irregularly and in fact I have just given it a clean and a service today and it runs perfectly. But surely it must give up the ghost sooner (sadly) rather than later. There must be someone out there who has an old one they would be pleased to sell? Sorry I realise this is not an answer to the problem. However I guess that Braun would not reepeat manufacturing this product as surely there cannot be much profit in a hairdryer which could have an active life of up to (or more tha 30 years AND is used every single day without exception!!!! The top of the gas hair drier is simply screwed off (under the green button), ant-clockwise. The battery is a camera battery a Varta 625U. The battery must placed with the positive + side upwards and screw back on the top.

Casio Pocket Viewer PV-S400Plus not working

When batteries are to be replace you must move the switch on the back cover to "replace batteries". After you replace the batteries, you must move the switch back to "normal operation". The unit will then want you to touch the dots in the cross hairs and then ask you to adjust contrast. Try replacing the batteries again with a fresh pair. If this does not work, open the cover with the switch in the "replace batteries" position and use your stylus to press the "P" button underneath the battery cover and try again. If this fails, try resetting the unit.
